The owners were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean. The views of the mountains were amazing, and we were able to see a lot of wildlife flying by just sitting outside our room. Breakfast was also really good. Would highly recommend.

The accommodation is just up a hill in Ella with stunning views! It’s quiet and peaceful and not far from Ella town. The host and his family are super lovely and he even offers to take you to town with his TukTuk. He also organized a scooter for us. The breakfast is super nice as well. We would definitely come back!

1) the breakfast is freshly cooked & there is a lot of variety. Every day is different. You could also order breakfast at a time that fits your schedule. 2) the view. The view from the rooms & terrace is incredible and probably the best in the whole city!!! You could see all the main highlights in ella, the waterfalls, lots of beautiful animals. 3) the staff members/owner. Always willing to help, he has his own Tuktuk and is willing to take you around in the area.

Lovely clean room.. the host was very welcoming and treated us like family friends.. The views were absolutely breathtaking.. So fairly priced and an absolute pleasure to visit.. Would go back in a heartbeat Thank you

The flight of stairs down to the property,but the views makeup for it.Also we travelled with our toddler and we did not find it very diffcult with the steps. The staff carried our luggage all the way down and up,kudos to them for that. Everything else was great.

Stunning views in all of ella,you can watch the train go on the track from here,we even got to view and feed few giant squirrels from the dining area, the huge breakfast is served,clean rooms and bathrooms,private balcony to sip your drink with a view,host took us to and from the dinner place in his own tuk tuk -all for free of cost :)

Spectacular views over the Ella countryside were a highlight. A relaxing place that really is a hidden gem. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. They also provide an amazing breakfast to have on the balcony looking over the amazing scenery.

There is literally nothing.

I‘ve never had an owner such as nice as he was. Whatever you want to do he finds a Solution for you or Can organize something for you. I cannot Imagine there could be any better place to stay in Ella. Breakfast was amazing. Service: I have no words for such good Service. Best Service I‘ve ever experienced. The View was spectacular. One advice: stay there longer than just one night!!!

Thankfully we could make the steps to the lodgings ok, but staff were very helpful with luggage and their yuk yuk.

Views exceeded expectations. The experience of being immersed in the jungle canopy was beautiful. Watching the hornbills and train at breakfast (after seeing the sunrise from the balcony). :)

An amazing experience we had with accommodation in Sri Lanka. I cannot stress how important it is to stay here. The family that host are the warmest most kindest people. Amazing food is served by the owners + there are restaurants within 100m of the location. Ella is super cool like this. The town is very touristy & gross in my opinion, everything in the hills near blooming rose isn’t ha ! Walking the tracks down to town / the station is awesome also. The view. WOW. Just you wait !

Waking up to that view you is a luxury. It’s a familiy run homestay and they will arrange anything for you. It’s not exactly in Ella’s center but they have a Tuk Tuk and will drop you off / pick you up from anywhere in the area. Also, best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka !

The view is UNBELIEVABLE. The hosts were so lovely and hospitable. The location is fantastic, just a short tuk tuk ride away from the centre of Ella and the owner gave us rides in his tuk tuk. The breakfast was delicious and there was always a fantastic spread.

It was not that close to Ella town but the owner offered free tuktuk rides into town which was brilliant. The room had no air con but we knew this in advance.

We had bats flying around our room one night and kept us awake, but eased off the second night. There was also no option to have any dinner at the hotel, but that wasn't too much of a problem.

Location was great as we were about 15 minute walk outside of Ella town. The room was spacious and clean, and also had a lovely terrace outside which looked out onto Ella rock. The host and other members of staff were really friendly and arranged breakfast for us every morning which was also delicious. Super chilled vibe. Another plus- there was a family run restaurant about 5-10 minute walk rom the hotel called 'Ella siyapatha hut restaurant' serving amazing food and does a lovely cooking class too.

Nothing, it was a perfect stay.

This was our favourite accommodation in Sri Lanka. The view from the balcony in our room and the terrace for breakfast was absolutely breathtaking. You could also walk to Ella town centre by a lovely walk via the train tracks and also walk to Ella Rock from the accommodation. The host and his family were so lovely, always happy to help and the breakfasts were delicious. So many different types of fruit and amazing pancakes/hoppers. We really recommend Blooming Rose Ella to all.

It was great! The view is amazing. Wonderful hotel owner. Excellent breakfasts. Thank you very much!!! The hotel is located on a mountainside, a little away from the noisy Ella. There are no problems with movement. But the silence, tranquility and beauty of nature!

Even though we were only there for a short night stay, the hosts were extremely hospitable and lovely. We didnt realise it was in a bit of a tricky location so we had packed our full suitcases - the team were so helpful and carried our bags down, and back up the next morning. The views from here are absolutely beautiful, and the hosts generously organised a packed breakfast for us as we checked out at 6am the next morning. This was probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on my whole trip.
