It’s a beautiful property with lovely staff. Simone, Udesh and Shan made our stay wonderful. The property is centrally located with beach just a minute walk away. All the major restaurants and shops are located in the proximity. It was a good experience and I cannot recommend enough.

There's nothing to not like about the place

The setting is serene. The location (right next to the beach) was amazing. The caretakers were wonderful. The vibes of the place were so positive. All in all, everything about the place added to making a holiday in Unawatuna memorable.

We thought we were getting a separate little cottage.

I loved the garden, paths and beautiful natural landscape. Even had monkey come and visit. We feed it bananas and coconut. Very fun experience

The only thing to be aware of is we didn’t get the room we had booked. But a different one it was ok but bathroom wasn’t quite en-suite! Loads of mosquitos but that’s not there fault.

Staff were the most friendly people ever!! Breakfast was delicious. Perfect little spot away from the hustle & bustle of Unawatuna felt like Sri Lanka which the beach didn’t.

This is a gem of a place to stay. The hosts are wonderful. There is a real family sense to the hotel. It's a great little find. It's close to the beach and restaurants. i would easily spend a few weeks staying at this hotel. Now, even though we booked for 4 nights in this hotel, we only stayed 2 maybe 3 nights - that's because my wife got sick when we were there. Nothing to do with this hotel, but she had Dengue Fever, so we ended up spending a night in a local hospital. I certainly had no expectation on Secret Garden to do anything for us, but they went above and beyond to support us. they called and checked in on us while we were in the hospital and they were courteous and informative about my wife's condition. Although, it had been a tough few days with illness for my wife, we were so glad that we were in Secret Garden when it happened. We felt very looked after.

Beautiful setting in a lovely tropical garden. Secret Garden Villa is a peaceful oasis. Right next to the main strip of unawatuna but you'd never know! All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious

The property is situated right across the beach and on the most happening street. Absolutely loved the fact that it is tucked in and around beautiful coastal vegetation. The staff here is super helpful and cheerful. The owner of the property - Simona, is somebody I would look upto for being so lively all the time. Such a beautiful lady! It has all the amenities you would need in a homestay. I would definitely stay here again!

The room I had would benefit from better lighting and bedside tables.

The property has a lot of character and is surrounded by lush jungle.. the staff were friendly and attentive. Only one minute from the beach and many dining options. Very relaxing environment.

During powercuts we would appreciate a GENERATOR. Some guests might complain about the noise of a generator but the opposite neighbour does use a generator so some noise will be there anyway.

The breakfast was good and had many surprises, like avocado, passionfruit,mango. The garden is like paradise. The staff is very dedicated to their job and makes you feel at home. The home is a very nice decorated home with many antiques.

Some items of the furniture should be replaced as they are quite old or broken. The air condition in our room did work but if you're someone who likes to freeze the room down to 21 degrees, that's something that will not happen. Entrance to the hotel is a bit further down than indicated on Google maps. So you should be searching for the yoga dome of the hotel which is at the right location on Google maps. I would love to see some investment in the property and a clearer focus on what it wants to be. A yoga retreat or a spacious character hotel in a lot of green.

Very personal connection to the staff. Beds were comfortable and clean. Spacious bathroom. A lot of green around. More on the quiet side even though it is close to the main road.

It’s 30 meters from the beach, but also right in the jungle forest with tall trees, a small canal and all kinds of beautiful animals such as peacocks. Their veranda is great if you work remotely. High internet speed. Right in the middle of the backyard jungle there is a yoga house, where you can enjoy classes with Ranjan. Ranjan gave us a lot of useful health advises that have drastically improved our well being. Rooms are great, clean and cousy. Staff is very friendly. I’m going to recommend this place to all of my friends.
