Was disappointed with the original accommodation booked, as the rooms were old & needed upgrading. We were forced to pay extra & upgrade to better rooms at an increased price.

The breakfast was good & the children loved the pool & the beach.

Room was dark and smells a little damp so we affectionately nic named it the cave! We were happy until on the last night we got an ant infestation all over the window, door, wall and floor. Thankfully I had some fly spray with me that also worked with killing ants so it stoped it! I didn’t mention it to the hotel as it was past midnight and they didn’t ask if everything was okay with the room on check out. Also no sun loungers around the pool probably because they just can’t fit any! There’s a simple pool for a quick dip but no sunbathing facilities.

Spacious room, A/C worked well. Very helpful and polite staff with our heavy luggage. Hotel is right on the beach and serves good food and drinks.

Bathrooms need better ventilation. Understaffed so drinks and dinner take a long time but the staff works very hard to overcome the challenges.

A great spot on the beach, good food, friendly and helpful staff. Good but relaxed atmosphere in the bar in the evenings. The bar staff Milan and Gigi were good fun and made great cocktails.

Small standard room but bigger ones really good.

The staff were excellent and the bar was good and busy. There are better beaches. Breakfast could take some time and cooking not always to a good standard. Pizzas are good.

- the hotel is adjacent to a workshop (daytime noisy) - the pool is of average quality - our room was in the annex, next to the kitchen, so it was a bit noisy in the morning - the equipments of the room could have been more modern

Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, so we strongly recommend this accomodation. We loved to stay here. - the location is perfect, the hotel is just in the middle of the bay, direct on the beach - the pool is exceptional in the area - our room was in the annex, so we were located just a few steps away the beach - the staff is very kind and friendly - the oceanside restaurant is very cozy - the breakfast offers a large selection and it's tasty

These rooms are the old part of the building. there seems to be a separate listing for the newer apartment style rooms. They’re very noisy (next to the kitchen/cleaning cupboard/beach access toilets), very dark with a tiny window, and the bathrooms need updating. There are also a lot of mosquitos and even though a mosquito net was advertised we had to switch to a smaller room to get one - and received no refund. For the cost they are absolutely not worth it. we thought we would be treating ourselves on the last night of our trip, but turned out to be the worst accommodation we had.

I liked everything, nothing to complain about.

Volleyball, Restaurant, Good Room for 2 adults and 2 kids, Access to the beach, Swimming pool for kids, Perfect location. Everything was fantastic. Very good restaurant and overall great facilities. 5 meters from the room to the restaurant, 5 meters from restaurant to the Beach. Very friendly staff and relaxing place. Best hotel in Unuwatuna beach. Many people are coming from outside to the restaurant and to relax on the beach. Hotel has nice swimming pool, what makes it good place to stay with kids. There is volleyball net to play beach volley. Everyday around 5PM people are gathering for the game.

It was our first accomodation in Sri Lanka and as we arrived 1 day later and without luggage (technical problem with the plane), we really appreciated the excellent help from the hotel staff (thank you Lakith and other guys!). They made such an effort to get our luggage so we finally had them. The placement of the hotel is just excellent - right in the middle of the beach, nice pool, very good restaurant and mainly - great staff!

Our room was sharing the same roof with some college students, the soundproofing was very bad we can hear everything and they were very noisy and loud. we had to talk to them at 1 am in the morning to ask them to keep quiet. The toilet was terrible. First of all, It’s not dry and wet separation. The flush didn’t work and the shower drain hole didn’t work properly. It got flooded every time we took shower. To be fair, we didn’t go to the staff for those issues because we discovered it very late at night.

The location was great and the hotel staff are really nice and helpful. very fast check in and check out. Breakfast was good.

not worth the money spent. very basic rooms and breakfast. rooms are not spacious for the price, there are better rooms elsewhere for around Rs4000. breakfast is very basic and not worth the money
