Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaThe place is nice but simple, so the price to value ratio could be slightly lower. We really enjoyed our stay there, however.
The host was great, the communicatiin was smooth. The place was safe and quiet, we could leave our bikes locked on the terrace with no concern. The apartment was clean and neat.

PolandA little too thin walls and you could hear people in a next apartment, which could be a problem especially if you want to sleep. No double bad, we slept on a sofa.
Bay view, well maintained garden, really beautiful and quiet area.

LithuaniaThe first problem was the parking. According to the owner they have one parking slot for each room, but people from other hotels park on their slots. For me it sounds weird and could be solved by marking all their slots with the hotel's logo which is not done. As a result we had to park on site around 15 min walk from the hotel. On the hotel's page you can see the swimming pool. To be honest we didn't see any. The territory in very busy with other mini hotels and you can hardly understand where the territory of another hotel or even private territory starts. We didn't get any information from the owner about the swimming pool so I assume there was none. The furniture is pretty cheap and tired. The shower is blocked, the water is standing. When I took the hairdryer it was covered with a layer of dust. The balcony is dusty and sandy. But the biggest joke was the sheet on the bed. It was short and couldn't cover the whole bed! Seriously?! And the noise insulation was terrible. To be honest for the money we paid I was expecting to have something better than this. We stayed for one night and were happy we were leaving early. The place has a high potential, but no one is taking care of it.
The location is very nice. If you travel by car you can stay here and then travel to Nida. The stuff was pretty much fast with answering the responses.

LithuaniaFirst of all, no one should think that the photos on the Booking page represent exactly the space one will end up in. You are checking in to an apartment, although with a separate entry. The house itself is divided into 4 (if not 5 apartments). This said, all the outside space is communal, i.e. to share with the others. Our biggest discomfort was due to a discrepancy between what was advertised for the the Superior quadruple room and what we got in terms of sleeping arrangement. I expected one large double be and two single beds. We got a double in one room and a sofa-bed in the sitting room, which is an open plan kitchen as well. I truly was not excited to share the bed with someone, even if it is a family member. Ideally, it is an apartment for two people, max 3, not 4. Otherwise, if someone wants to sit later and watch TV, the sofa-bed serves for sitting, not sleeping. However, it could be easily fit for purpose with more or different pieces of furniture. It would also be good to warn customers that the apartment is accessible via two flights of stairs: first you reach a small outside terrace and then go into the apartment, which again starts with a flight of inside stairs. Could be problematic for elderly people or parents with small kids.
The place itself is beautiful- right on the lagoon. You can see the sunrise, walk along the coast or just sit under the tree and enjoy. Although the houses around were very densely populated, but there was enough space and place to sit with the family and enjoy a relative privacy. It was surprisingly quiet, given how many people lived next to us at the same time. There was enough space to park the car in a private yard. There were enough places for a barbeque and outside dining. The apartment was newly renovated and was squeaky clean, very modern appliances throughout. It was my first stay in Pervalka and I truly liked this village, the peace and serenity of it.
