Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandAs an experienced traveler, I thought I would manage to reach the riad on my own based on the map coordinates. Don't make that mistake... those back alleys are a maze of dead-ends and not on any map! I recommend having the staff meet you at the neighborhood mosque to show you the route for the first time.
Even though it was located in the heart of the Medina, it was in a back alley which was completely silent. Just a few minutes walk from the Secret Garden, the Ibn Youssef Madrasa, and the Jema el Fnaa Square. The people running the establishment are really friendly and put me at ease completely. They are flexible regarding breakfast arrangements, offer suggestions for how to manage sightseeing, are available quite late into the night to help on anything, but also give their guests space to just hang out and enjoy the courtyard. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom fully equipped (even a hairdryer) and I really enjoyed my stay.

GermanyThere is so much to write here. Firstly, the host Bader is so kind and helps at any time. The riad is beautiful and has - since it was the place of Hans Werner Geerdts - still a lot of art. The furniture is really nice! The breakfast is fantastic (especially with local oil and yogurt, coffee from a portafilter machine). Everything clean and hygienic.

MoroccoDar Daoud is everything you want in a riad! In a city like marrakech where almost everything is overwhelming to the senses, Dar Daoud is a safe haven. Bader is a spectacular host, and will go over and beyond to make sure you’re having a pleasant stay. I had trouble navigating the old médina and he was kind enough to come fetch me where I was; the ladies doing housekeeping are just as adorable. Go to dar Daoud for royalty service and peace of mind.

United KingdomThe property was ideally located in the heart of the Medina, very close to the main square in Marrakesh. Rooms were extremely clean and had everything you could ask for. Our host was brilliant, incredibly helpful. Breakfast was ideal, set you up for the whole day. Our host organised transport to and from the airport, which was very so handy, and provided numerous tips for a great break. The Dar was “your second home”, the perfect location for a break in Marrakesh. I would 100% stay there again.

NetherlandsIncredibly gorgeous riad, very stylish rooms (looks even way better than on booking.com), with extremely comfortable beds! Bader is such a nice host that you will feel welcomed from the very first moment. He even made us breakfast for takeaway in the middle of the night since we were leaving early. Value for money is off the charts, incredible price for what you get, could easily charge more!

SloveniaNothing bothered us personally. Although riad is a little bit tricky to find for the first time. But that shouldn’t stop you - it’s all part of the charm and experience. I would definitely recommend staying here!😊
Everything! Upon arrival we received a warm welcome with mint tea from the nicest host. Room was small, but clean. Breakfast was delicious.

AustriaSince the breakfast is in the hall (usual to this building type) you will wake up with the first guests having breakfast- that's the deal in riads.
Bader is a great host, very supportive and positive! Location is very central and the place is in rather good shape. Just keep in mind you have to get their first through the small alleys.

United KingdomIt's rather hard to get to the location at first, the alleys are hidden. Please take the offer from the owner on getting the taxi he reccomends with a person that takes you straight to the riad. This was not the mistake of the owner and he made sure we met and got to the property safely.
The host was extremly friendly and made sure we felt at home. Great breakfast, clean and tidy. The riad itself is very beautiful and organised. It's great if you want to be in the heart of the old city just a few minutes away fromt he main square!

NorwayPerhaps it was a little hard to find the place, since google maps does give a detailed medina streets. However, it is recommended to download maps on Maps.me to navigate. Bathroom is located on a separate floor. It might me important for some guests.
I had a wonderful stay at Dar Daoud. The host, Mr. Bader, was very welcoming, polite and friendly. The location is exceptional, in the heart of medina, but hidden in the backstreet from the crowds and noise. The breakfast was very good, and serving was exceptional. The building itself has a historical value. The overall value is great and I really recommend to stay at Dar Daoud if you want to explore medina of Marrakech.

GermanyNothing was missing.
This is a truly magical place. The host/ manager (his name is Bader) is exceptionally kind and generous. He took wonderful care of me and any other guest. The location is superb. You can walk anywhere and be in the middle of all the happenings. The Riad itself is beautiful, quiet and clean. The breakfast is plenty and gives you a great start into the day. I will come back because of the unprecedented hospitality.

GermanyThere was a bad smell probably from an old carpet, which should be renewed and little smell form the bathroom's drains. The single bed is for smaller children with a short wooden frame. We put the mattrass on the floor but could not remove it to the bed, because it expanded irregularly on all sides after spending two nights on it. I apologize for that, deeply sorry.
Quiet small riad in the middle of everything with lovely decorated rooms (we had the upper one with a double and a single bed that is also the brightest). Delicious breakfast possible to take after 10 in the morning and a bothering kind manager Bader who said "Our motto is that each guest should feel at home", so we felt very welcomed and used the roof terasse a lot. Very good privacy. German style warm blankets with sheets and room was cleaned. If you need any tip or advice, Bader will help you.

NetherlandsWifi was breaking sometimes, is good for e-mails but video calls sometimes did not work. Single room has a bathroom outside of the room (downstairs), it has specific smell (I guess it's normal in this type of historical, old buildings)
Riad is beautiful, clean, quiet and in perfect location. Hosts were just amazing, very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was delicious and beutifully served, it was typical moroccan breakfast.

Dar Daoud had a fabulous relaxing, friendly, homely and caring vibe and located in the centre of the fabulous Medina. The host, Badar couldn’t do more to help make your visit a better experience, he was above and beyond in his caring, patience and helpfulness. Thank you Badar for making our mini visit a wonderful stay.
