Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOn Booking.com they had advertised an indoor heated pool and spa. They failed to mention that it was damaged in the recent earthquake and therefore closed which was a disappointment for us, (although sad for the country to have suffered such a disaster). The food was good but became a bit samey after a a few days, one too many tagines! The poolside cushions could do with an upgrade.
The hotel was lovely and the grounds beautifully looked after. With 25 hectares of land there were lots of different walks to go on without leaving the hotel. There was a nearby lake too. We had the junior suite which was huge, the bedding was really good quality and the beds very comfy. Immaculately clean. The March weather was still cool so unable to use the outdoor pool but it was nice to sit beside the pool and relax on one of the many loungers with the bar and restaurant close by.

United KingdomPool too cold for us in February (it's not heated)! Some facilities not yet repaired following earthquake, eg indoor pool, spa and gym. Hope this wonderful place continues to receive guests as rebuilding cannot happen over night. Would have loved tea and coffee facilities in room.
Beautiful gardens and very friendly staff. We enjoyed the dining every night and trying Moroccan wine

United StatesI would agree with some of the other reviews about certain details of the property (namely in the rooms) being a bit dated and in need of a little care. We had a large and super comfortable room but the AC was very loud and not very functional (specifically: it didn’t seem to have the power to actually make the room the temperature it was set to but did wake us with strange noises in the middle of the night a few times), the older mini fridge was not plugged in or cold on arrival, and the decor is definitely of another era. We were not hugely bothered by these details since it was only a 2 night stay in a 17 day journey through Morocco & our main reason to be there were the outdoor garden / pool areas and views but if you’re a traveler who really wants high-end, lux creature comforts / decor / etc. in your room this may not be quite the right stop. More of a quaint and traditional romantic stay than a modern and luxurious one room-wise.
The grounds here are absolutely stunning. It’d be hard to find a more beautiful, extensive, lovingly cared for flower garden like this at an inn or hotel anywhere. The main, large pool is also pristine, clean, with wonderfully comfortable chaise lounges and shaded areas at the center of the property. Two other pools are tucked away elsewhere on the property and are a little less pristine than the main one but also gorgeous. We spent a whole lazy day in and around the pool main, had it basically to ourselves, and it was magical. The pathways to walk around d the property and views in every direction of the Atlas mountains are really something special as well. While I noticed before our stay in reading the reviews that many people had poor experiences with the restaurant, I’m wondering after put own stay if perhaps the food quality varies with the seasons based on what’s readily available / in season — in early summer we were so happy for all the fresh vegetables and fruits served at breakfast and dinner; while the meals weren’t life-changing, they were still very good and clearly made with care. We weren’t disappointed.

United KingdomNO HORSE RIDING / POOR ANIMAL WELFARE!!! We booked this hotel on the hopes of horse back riding - Unfortunately this was not an option. I found the horse stables , a 2 minute walk inside the the hotel gardens - the horse’s were incredibly malnourished , starving & bolted away in dirty small stables , no sign of fresh water or food. The horses were BONE THIN and clearly distressed!! It was incredibly upsetting. Clearly the owner of the horse’s is busy / else where or running low on money ? I don’t believe it would be hard to freshen the water , feed them and maybe even let them out for a few hours. It was huge disappointment seeing how well maintained the rest of the gardens & hotel is?! I truly hope this will change as soon as possible. Something has clearly gone terribly wrong & I’m sure can be resolved!! Wether horse riding is an option or not for the guests , there is no excuse for their neglect!! :( - Please , please look after the horses!!!!
Extremely stunning location!! The property & gardens are very well maintained - Simply beautiful. Very calm & peaceful , very clean & lovely staff. The food was amazing despite the other negative reviews? Yes , the menu was a little limited but it is cooked & presented to perfection!!

United KingdomOne of the smaller swimming pools needs renovating. The mosaic tiles at the edge have started to chip away and the water a little murky but I’m sure it is next on their list. Our large balcony would have been put to better use with two sun loungers and a few pot plants to screen a nearby concrete roof.
De La Roserie is set in absolutely stunning verdant landscaped grounds, that are planted with rare and indigenous plants and trees which are in turn surrounded by the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. There are little areas to discover each day as you roam the extensive grounds. Rooms are separate to the main lodge, in lovely bungalows or maisonettes, all surrounded by their own flora and fauna. The main building has a elegant ranch style feel. There are even stables where we fed the old retired horses apples each day. Dinner is served each evening by the staff and paired with very decent Moroccan wines. I really can’t describe well enough how lovely the grounds are, irrigated by a sort of levada system that provides the sound of fresh running water wherever you stroll. As further example to get to our room you walked up a path, over one of these little streams, through a lemon grove and up to our front door. All in all this is a little slice of heaven. I’m looking forward to returning one day.

Outstanding! Old world estate feel with lodge style indoor and outdoor fireplaces, overstuffed chairs, library bar, lounges by the pools, all surrounded by lush gardens, including lemon groves, rose gardens, pomegranate trees etc. overlooking a river on 77+/- pristine acres. Spacious villas with fine linens, plush pillows, comfy beds, great water pressure, opening to private patios overlooking the gardens. Welcoming staff with great attitude always willing to help but not intrusive. LOVE this place it’s a magical step back in time to a quieter refined era.

United KingdomWe were worried about the welfare of the horses and donkeys. One horse had a skin condition (probably mange or fungal infection and probably curable with the help of a vet) and looked tired and emaciated and his eyes were shut most of the time. A donkey was tethered by a wire around one ankle only about a metre long. Future guests please monitor! Some facilities were closed for the low season.
Exceptionally friendly staff. Beautiful grounds - even in winter. The standard room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the big marble bath.
