Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSomeone else said this already but, no alcohol - my suggestion would be not to say you have a cocktail menu ahead of arrival, and be clear that it is a MOCKtail menu and no alcohol on site. I loved the breakfast but my partner didn’t as it was very sweet. Check-in took three hours from arrival (we arrived pre check-in time so kind of expected) - if we’d been told how long the wait would be, we would have made the most of our time elsewhere and not sat waiting. Some issues with shower in room, and no water at check in, but overall the room was beautiful, quiet with a comfy bed and great bath.
Beautiful setting, fantastic staff and an enjoyable breakfast. We generally loved our stay and would recommend Thai place to others who want to stay somewhere quiet and personal.

The Riad is situated in a quiet area. The welcome was very warm and I felt comfortable from the first minute. The team is exceptionally friendly, helpful and lovely. My room was beautiful, clean, well decorated with a large bathroom. I was lucky to experience the Gnawa night. A fun and entertaining evening with music, dance and typical food from Marocco. Breakfast is served on the terrace with stunning views over the Medina. The Riad truly is a small, cozy oasis and personally I can recommend it 100%. It cannot get any better than Ambre Epices Medina. I will be back for sure. Thanks so much for this wonderful experience.

United KingdomThe room was on the cozy side, and unfortunately, the bath had a persistent water clogging issue, leading to water backing up after showers. Despite reporting it on the first day it still occurred everytime someone went for a shower. While the terrace was marketed as a unique selling point, it didn’t quite live up to expectations.
I’d like to start by mentioning the exceptional staff and management at the Riad. Despite the location being a bit of a walk, it suited us perfectly. Opting for half board, we enjoyed dinner at the Riad every night, which was delightful. Moreover, they graciously accommodated customizations for the kids, which we truly appreciated.

Two Riad joined together, one more traditional than the other. We stayed in the ‘newer’ more modern side with a stunning room full of Moroccan influence and modern minimalism. Big bed, large bath tub, open fire and large bathroom. Stunning. A small Hammam is superb as was the massage - both inexpensive. Dinner was superb and traditional. Breakfast was served on the roof and superb. Very close to Medina too. Highly recommended

GermanyThe path begins on a very busy corner, you enter a street that looks like the entrance to a market, in the middle of the street there is a detour to the labyrinth of hidden riads that leads to the delight of finding yourself in a quiet place with very beautiful decoration, To top off the stay at this Riad, all the staff are truly friendly and very courteous, you feel at home, the breakfast is perfect, each day has its variations, but always delicious and well served.

United KingdomWow, what an amazing place this was. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and made our first time in Marrakesh a memorable one. The Riad is stunning, and feels very homely, the breakfast each morning was delicious and we throughly enjoyed it. The Riad is also in a very central location with most places of interest within walking distance. The staff want out of their way to ensure our time here was well spent. They were extremely helpful with planning all excursions, meaning there was nothing for us to worry about or plan, making them all stress free! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and we look forward to coming back in the future.

United StatesThe water pressure was insane. You barely turned it on before water would shoot out at you and get everything wet. The shower especially was difficult to manage because there was no lip between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so the water got absolutely everywhere.
The location was fabulous, the staff were so helpful and kind, and the room was beautiful. Also loved the breakfast we had on the rooftop terrace. We had a late flight the next day and they were very accommodating with allowing us to hang out around the Riad all day and helped set up a taxi to get us to the airport that evening.
