Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe staff here went above and beyond, from start to finish we where looked after like we joined the family. We got introduced with a welcome drink and Ahmed the manager (I hope I got his name right) gave us a map and discussed with us our plans for the week, he pointed us in the right direction for everywhere we wanted to go in the week. He helped us change the times of our evening meals to suit Ramadan by ringing the restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful! It was just such a personal beautiful touch the whole stay. Staff where so kind, breakfast was unbelievable, we had around 3 courses it was like breakfast for a king. We where always offered tea and refreshments. The stay was beautiful I only wish we where there longer. I liked that it was in the middle of the medina, perfect location for exploring, it was near to the mosques, walkable distance to the souks and square, i felt safe. We can’t thank the staff at dar anika enough for our stay in Marrakesh, for all the advice and care. Thankyou I will highly recommend .!

United KingdomNothing.
The location was very central for the medina and surrounding tourist sites. The breakfast was superb and plenty to eat. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was quiet and calm even though we weren't far from the bustle of the medina. There is a rooftop terrace for sunbathing which was relaxing after a day of walking the streets.

Was nice and fresh but a set menu and no choice given unlike the pro time I visited a few years ago.

United StatesNothing that can be fixed. Like many luxury properties in Morocco. the room all face onto a central courtyard that is made of stone. It can be noisy in the restaurant, which is situated in the courtyard. However, the noise generally ended by 9:30 and it did not interfere with sleep or quiet enjoyment of the room.
This was perfectly situated for trips into the old city. Far enough out of the craziness in the square but still a ten minute walk away. Made for a very walkable vacation. I never had to deal with a cab.

United KingdomOnly wished they had a bar but that's just me being selfish Although you can get drinks in your room or up on the roof terrace.
Amazing place loved everything but the staff make it extra special. I ask them to arrange some flowers and chocolates in the room and they kindly did this without any charge

United KingdomI like to have a separate shower rather than one in the bath but that's a very minor point.
The location is at the southern end of the Medina. Taxis can get to within 50 meters of the entrance (a big plus) and there is a taxi rank there. 20 minutes from the airport. Very good food. We ate out a couple of times but the food in the Riad was better and we ate there 3 times (try the lamb shoulder). Staff very attentive, good service. Beautifully decorated, quiet inside. You can walk to most of the main square in 10 minutes and most of the main sites are within 20 minutes.

United StatesWe loved the property. Outside the door you immediately dive into the bustle of the city which can be overwhelming but honestly we have no complaints at all.
What wasn’t to like? The location in the Mellah was perfection. Easy to get transport (which the Riad will arrange) and a quick walk to basically everything in the old Medina. Room was beautiful. Views from the roof top we’re worth taking a breath from the winding Medina and have a drink. The staff. Wow. Impressed. Will absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to Marrakech.

United KingdomNothing of substance, one has to remember that this is a riad in an old city, rather than a five-star hotel on outskirts.
We had a lovely stay. The location at end of The Medina was excellent, with easy access to taxis. The staff could not have been nicer, and the breakfasts were excellent. The rooftop hot-tub was a plus. Our bathroom was large and spotless, with good shower. Good value. Happy to recommend Dar Anika.

United KingdomThere was nothing I did not like. One comment was that the Wi-Fi was a bit inconsistent at times, which meant I needed to leave my room and go to the main areas on the ground floor at times.
A beautiful, friendly hotel with super helpful staff. The location was excellent for the event I was attending and I was able to walk to most of my venues.

What can I say, what a wonderful experience. The staff are just wonderful and would not hesitate to recommend. The location is towards the edge of old town which was perfect for us, with a short walk to the central square. The breakfast was just great for setting up the day, and evening meal also a good experience.

United StatesNeed to provide more towels in bathroom. Towels are thin, not good quality (once wet, take forever to dry which makes reusing them unpleasant).
Beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff - staff went over and above several times. Location is perfect for walking, seeing sights, and getting taxi, tour busses when needed.
