Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesGetting there with luggage This property shouldn't be mistaken for a typical hotel; it's more akin to a homestay with limited amenities like room service, which is restricted mostly to cleaning. Essentials like toiletries need to be self-provided, a minor inconvenience offset by the proximity to local eateries. Transportation is another area where vigilance is needed, particularly when dealing with taxis from the airport or train stations. Charges can be exorbitant, so using apps like inDrive to gauge fair prices is recommended.
Staying at this Riad in Marrakech offers a unique glimpse into traditional Moroccan living, albeit with some nuances that travelers should be aware of. Located within a labyrinth of narrow residential streets, the location presents its first challenge: accessibility. Arriving with luggage can feel like a task, as navigating the narrow roads and then hauling bags to the upper floors is no small feat. The initial room I was assigned was disappointingly small, but after addressing this with the staff, I was relocated to a more comfortable space. This responsiveness was a recurring theme throughout my stay. The ground floor of the Riad is a testament to Moroccan aesthetics, beautifully decorated to reflect the local culture and style. Culinary offerings, though repetitive, were satisfying with a good Moroccan breakfast served daily. It's worth noting the consistency in what's offered, which could be a downside for those staying longer and craving variety. The service was notably commendable, with a special thanks to Ms. Sameera, who was instrumental in bridging communication barriers with the non-English-speaking staff. Her assistance in providing local knowledge and helping us navigate the cultural landscape of Marrakech was invaluable. In summary, this Riad in Marrakech is a good choice for those looking to immerse themselves in the local culture, provided they are prepared for a few quirks typical of a traditional homestay. The service is excellent, making up for

GermanyThe location near a dump. Too little assistance with what to do in the lovely neighbourhood but outside the touristy stuff. When staying in a place like this, we expect a little more guidance on how to discover the city’s life. But most of all, it was all quite pricey. The breakfast which was included in the price was too simple for the standing of the riad.
It was a peace heaven, far from the noisy streets of the city. The people were super nice and friendly.

NetherlandsVery welcome and helpful, I was given a lot of good information about Marrakech before arrival. The rooms are beautiful and very clean, the beds are good. Location is the medina perfect, close to nouvelle ville and also 10 minutes walk to Jemaa el Fna. Good shuttle service to and from the airport.

CanadaHave to walk pass a trash pile getting to the riah (but doesn’t smell for some reason). No water on the last day, so couldn’t shower. Not the riah’s fault. Breakfast was basic. Asked for eggs but none was available. The kids loved the hot chocolate though.
The staff was awesome! Super friendly and helpful! The location was great for family. Safe and Quiet but not too far away from all the activities.

SwedenWe loved our stay at Riad Sahara Nour. The beautiful garden with birds singing among the trees, the sunny roof terrace, the friendly staff, the library, the music room, the poetry and the artistic soul of the place made us feel at home. It’s a lovely place to relax and unwind after an intense day discovering the medina of Marrakech. Plus we really enjoyed the delicious pancakes for breakfast. We stayed in the African Suite, great choice for two friends who want to share room but still have some privacy. Ideal location close to Bab Doukkala. Thank you, François, Samira and Hassan.

BelgiumI think that breakfast could be improved, adding a boil egg. a yogurt and a fruit that doesn't cost much, and change a lot, we got just bread an a pancake, limited compared to other Riads. And important if people are sleeping in the first floor next to the terrace, we were expecting to have breakfast in the terrace which is really pretty.
We had the family room, in the first floor, next to the terrace, really nice room. The hotel staff was very nice as well and the Riad is very pretty , well located.

SpainHighly recommended accommodation. Spacious, clean, comfortable. We highlight the kindness of Hassan in his welcome, the attention of Samira at breakfast and François for his advice, disposition and concern. Perfect location in La Medina. We went by motorcycle and parked them inside the house. By the way, accessing it by motorcycle is quite an adventure. You will experience the organized chaos of Marrakech live. An experience.

IrelandThe Riad is absolutely beautiful in a great location close to souqs, museums and parks, also within walking distance to Gueliz to visit Gardens Majorelle. The owner Francois organized for us to be picked from the bus station and a drop off to the airport from the Riad. He also sent a lot of recommendations for places to visit with updated opening times as we were visiting during Ramadan, which was super helpful. there was also a lovely veranda with a big table outside our room. We were very happy with our choice of the place to stay and would love to return to this beautiful city and Riad again.

United StatesThe beds were cots with a mattress and the linen sheets were scratchy. The air conditioning never made the room lower than 28. In all fairness, it was 50 degrees celcius the day we were there. Miserable heat. The cost was double that which we paid in another riad we stayed in the night before so we were expecting more.
The owner Francoise was hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. Hamman was so helpful with dinner, bags, breakfast etc. The meal we had was the best food we had in all of Morocco.
