Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomTraffic from the road was a bit noisy, as we were in the first row of apartments, but after 24h we no longer noticed this. Also there aren't many restaurants nearby so you really need a car. There was a very nice one 10 mins walk away (Verige 65) but as there's no footpath (as seems to be the norm in most places there) we quickly gave up trying to walk and drove there instead.
Very nice holiday apartment complex with stunning views across the Bay of Kotor. Not everything was fully open as the main season doesn't start until May but we had everything we needed, including a complimentary bottle of local wine & sparkling water. The host was extremely welcoming and helped us with all of our queries.

DenmarkWithout a car, it felt very isolated. No possibilities to shop for water or basic food without taking a taxi to the next town. There are no sidewalks so you need to walk to nearby restaurants sharing the road with cars going at 70-80km an hour. Do not book without a car!

MexicoApartments were clean when we arrived but they don’t have room service daily. Only towels get changed every 3 days. Owner/manager was rude to us as she was interrogating about our accommodation and right to be on the beach, use of beach towels etc.
Nice resort, located on the Kotor Bay Road. Apartments have a breathtaking view on the mountains and the sea and the little private beach is 2 minutes away, just cross the street. reception staff was very kind, helpful and always available !

United StatesI wish the pool was cleaner and that they had open bar at the pool or beach. They should also change sheets/towels more frequently. They actually didn't change ours for the time we were there but we didn't care as we stayed for just 4 nights and everything else was worth it.
The place is magnificent! The view is priceless and the beach is super clean and peaceful! You can buy fruit, veggies and fresh seafood the local farmers market. We loved this place so much! We stayed at "Panorama" apartment. They welcome you with local wine and staff is super friendly. Just go there, you will NOT regret it!

Fantastic resort, very friendly and helpful staff. Luxury villa with private swimming pool and modern furniture. Same time very quite and private, own beach with amazing view on mountains and small islands. Very close to Tivat (20 minutes), but same time not crowded and very relaxing. It was just perfect vacation after stressful covid year. We would definitely recommend to our friends and sure to come back in future

SerbiaThat I couldn’t find anything bad. :)
Here is a 5-minute long review, but trust me, it will be worth the read if you are looking for a perfect vacation. All apartments have a sea view, N-E side. So you have a beautiful sunrise to wake you up and a perfect stone decorated balcony to have a morning cup of coffee and a bowl of fruits. That’s hard to find. Then you have a private beach, which is stone and gravel sand, so there’s a choice for everyone. On the beach, you have metal and wooden chairs and also plastic and wooden sun beds, so again there’s a choice for everyone. The resort accommodates with beach towels so there are no worries about that. On the beach there’s a lovely beach bar with all that is needed to spend the whole day there. And the sea, oh man, the sea. Peaceful and quite, crystal clear water, the clearest I’ve seen on the Montenegrin coastline, wind and waves are a rare occasion, but they are good to refresh you a bit. From the beach you have a perfect view to Perast on the other side of the bay. Perfect for families with children because you can have shade after 4pm beneath the palm and olive trees. There, on the beach, you can rent kayaks and boats to sail to the 2 small church islands not far from the beach, if you’re into that. Above the beach, as a part of the resort, you have a market with all the necessities and a restaurant with variety of offerings for everyone’s taste, with a perfect view on the sea. Above, on the top of the resort, there’s a swimming pool with, be ready, SEA water and a astonishing view to the sea. Rooms are tidy and clean, high quality materials, comfortable beds and pillows, super silent AC, great kitchen with literally everything you need, from can openers to wine glasses, so if you want you can even cook in the apartment. Room maids cleaned our apartment on a 3day period with new batch of towels. Around the resort you have splendid restaurants and beach bars, but you will want to stay here, you’ll see.

SerbiaBusy road, noisy sometimes. If you have small kids, you have to escort them all the time. The store and restaurant are overpriced. We were told we can' sit at a table - five of us, only four, but on other nights we saw 7 people together. Nowhere else were we told we can't sit together.
The sea. Clean and perfect temperature. The balcony with the view. It made up for the minuses. The apartment was clean, perfect.

RussiaWe had a coffee machine, but previous guests broke it (there was a coffee capsula inside) And the door of wash machine was also broken, be careful. And one chair at the balcony also was broken. We were here at October, in october the season finishes and lots of restaurants and shops stopped working
The price is well, the beach is nice. We had two rooms and the kitchen and it is good solution to save money. We had lovely breakfast on the balcony with really cool view. The reception man was super, he helped us to find motorbikes and always was available

No side walk. We couldn't find swimming pool, no one was on reception to help us. On the beach old and broken sunbeds. and old and dirty umbrellas. Bad restaurant, over price. They bring us 2 the same meals on one plate ???? + try to overcharge us.

NorwayWe got the distinct impression that the hotel and restaurant (the only things on that part of the bay) want you to stay put ensuring that you spend your money there with them. Mini market/food shop: Given its the only place to buy food for miles around it is tiny, with an extremely limited selection and very overpriced. Restaurant, there are no other options so the captive audience means that it receives business no mater how poor and overpriced the food is. I chose chicken skewers on the first night and couldn’t chew the chicken enough to swallow it! My daughters carbonara was great however. They do not serve breakfast, a huge drawback given there are no cafes or restaurants within a half hour walk. Cleaning: During our 5 day stay our towels were changed once. There was no cleaning, change of bedding or rubbish/waste collection. TV: Didn’t work and had never been programmed. It wasn’t a priority to watch TV so I didn’t attempt to set it up from scratch in a foreign language! Listening to some music would have been nice but given the unhelpful attitude of the staff it wasn’t something I felt like raising. Beach: Beautiful, clean with crystal clear water. Toilet and showers available on the sand too. Plastic sunbeds with no cushions, many of them were broken including also the parasols.
Breathtaking views spolied by location right on the Adriatic highway which is a fast, busy and dangerous road with no pavement. The apartment with supposed sea view we had booked turned out to be a creepy little house called «Frida» with no view. It was decorated in grunge/hippy style with walls painted in deep colours and Frida Kahlo inspired pictures. The whole place had a somewhat dark and tortured vibe. The only windows you could open towards Kotor Bay looked into thick overgrown leaves blocking the view entirely and making the bedroom pitch black. Apparently the view was from the tiny courtyard behind which was scruffy, dark and overgrown with broken stuff littered around it! I complained immediately and they moved my daughter and I to an apartment higher up in the resort with a great view of the bay. Probably the pool with the most beautiful view I’ve seen. We arrived on a Sunday to find it filthy. The pool is salt water, apparently cleaned once a week on a Thursday. It’s emptied and refilled via a pumping system. When I complained that it wasn’t possible to swim in it the man at the reception became quite unpleasant and aggressive, disputing the fact that it was a problem whilst agreeing that the photos of insects, floaters and bacteria I was showing him were disgusting! I made clear that I wouldn’t be paying anything extra for the change of apartment to which he agreed. On Weds the pool was emptied and by the afternoon almost a third full, so knee height. By Thursday it was full enough to swim in so the whole process takes ~24hrs but once full the water didn’t reach the top! Not quite achieving the infinity pool effect when you are dangling off the pool edge to see the view as opposed to floating, flat!! An improvement to be able to swim in clean water, for sure. There was no transport provided by the hotel and very little help to get about. The taxi boat prices quoted for these seemingly hard to find services was outrageously high.
