Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandUnfortunately we got room from the street so it was quite noisy at night but it doesn't change my option - I totally recommend this place :)
Really good place for staying - in local style and hidden in lovely garden ;) very close to the main attractions in Valladolid. Room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. Tasty breakfasts, nice staff. You can enjoy the city and then relax at the small pool in the garden.

MexicoWell, no hot water but my husband didn't say anything about it and then I found out the next morning, very early. We let the staff know when we checked out.
Good breakfast, good coffee, pretty garden, nice pool, beautiful room, magazines to read, accomodating and pleasant staff, in a good touristy location, quiet and relaxing.

NetherlandsBreakfast was the same every day (fruit with yogurt and bread with butter & jam), which was good, but there was no option for something else. At least, it wasn't offered to us, not even for extra charge, which we would've done for sure as we stayed 5 days. The water pressure in the rooms is bad, but I know the hotel can't fix that. Just keep it in mind, so you're not disappointed. For us it wasn't a problem at all.
I loved the serenity of the whole place. It's tropical, had a great pool which gets cleaned every day, the rooms are huge and have their own fridge and little freezer. The staff is very friendly and you see them work hard the whole day, to keep the place beautiful. Also, the location is amazing. It's right around the corner of San Bernardino church and a very cute street away from the big main square.

PolandWe stayed in the Cabin Quetzal which was lovely in general, but during the night we came accross some insects inside, which made us decide to move to another room where my parents were staying. I would say that this is not the hotel fault but they could warn before hand or show explicitly the anti-insects devices, which we found until next day in the morning.
The staff was always friendly and happy to help. The breakfast was simple but tasty and served with a happy attitude. The rooms were clean and the hotel was just as we were expecting from the Photos :) We booked 3 rooms and the cabin and mostly we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is not so far from the city center but also not so close that it would be noisy due to traffic.

PolandThe doors and windows were very thin, so you could hear a lot of outside noise in the room. We spent 1 night in the hotel from Saturday to Sunday. There was an event taking place not far from the hotel and the noise was so loud that we hardly slept at all. The beds were not comfortable.
The rooms were spacious, the bathroom was clean. The parking was big and free of charge. The hotel has a very nice vibes, friendly service.

NetherlandsThere might be also good rooms at the property, but this room was not. Our room was very small and dated. Also our door did not close properly and had to do some fixing with towels to keep the mosquitos out.
The garden was beautiful and the set up looked like a old hacienda. Breakfast was cute to have in the garden in the morning.

MexicoWe arrived at the property there was no one at the front desk, my boyfriend and I we were there alone walking around the rooms and kitchen for about 20 minutes and calling at the phone but no one showed up, we saw insects crushed in the floor (scorpions) and no one cleaned that up. Once a lady showed up she was a little rude I would say and there was no wifi available to pay with card, cash only.
I need to say that it has a beautiful garden inside the place even tough from the outside it doesn’t look so promising
