Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesService was a little slow at some of the restaurants. Not all restaurants are slow but most are on the slower side. We also had a little issue with our towels. We would put our dirty towels on the shower floor, as requested, they would get taken but new towels would not be provided so we were short on towels a few days and had to share.
Food was really good! Typically with All Inclusive's, I expect to be eating average or subpar food but this hotel had great options. My favorite restaurant on the property was the trajinero! Staff was also very kind. Gustavo, working at the Patio restaurant by the pool was the best! He was eager to help my group and always had a great attitude! He was a big part of our trip being so great!

United KingdomWhile we were there, there were a LOT of buffets (potentially due to staffing shortages over Christmas and New Year)…while we love a buffet, we don’t want to eat at one every day. So it would have been nice to have more A La Carte availability at the restaurants.
Beautiful location, great pools and views. Great food, very friendly, helpful, accommodating staff, great vibe!

United StatesThe rate for each night was very high, considering that the rooms are not updated. The style of the resort is nice, but some things could be updated. Drinks, food and water onsite was very overpriced!
Property was well maintained and clean, and the pools were lovely. There were good facilities for outdoor activities and the gym was good. The staff who we interacted with were amazing. So kind and polite and genuine. The “adults” pool was nice and quiet and the views there are so nice.

United StatesI have to get out one night before Because the pillows were making me allergy. They explained me was because of the wind... yjey refused to use their own transportation to give me a ride to a different hotel. They didn't find a different hotel for me BTW. Tje manager wasn't professional and they justbtold me to talk with booking to have some money back. Every night was imposible for me to sleep because the bas smell of humidity in the pillows. Bad treatment from the receptionist and the manager. For those type in hotels they are usually very professional and they always try to compensate in some way.
The art, the location, the service people and the views. Lovely place to visit

United StatesThe pools need maintenance; the little tiles are falling off and it’s dangerous since it’s in the roof. The others need less maintenance. But for the same issue.

United StatesI did not like the check in process nothing.was explained clearly but buying all inclusive. We didn't understand where and who to.reserve dinner reservations. Didn't know when to call to reserve from.what time to what time? Confused about transportation.from airport and returning. I have never been in cabo so was trying to figure things out quickly. I think.upon.reserving there could have been transportation options told to.use with shuttle, ubrr and taxi.
The facility was very clean and beautiful. So nice no reason to leave while on site you have everything you need.

United StatesThe food wasn’t the best, we did the all inclusive and was def worth it, as the food options were overpriced, but not the best. The property is very large, you either have to walk or catch a golf cart.
The views were breath taking. All the staff was extremely helpful and kind, convenient location to down town.

AustraliaOnly things we didn’t appreciate was 1) no free water in rooms and charged 7 USD for a bottle out of the fridge (note, no information in room about drinks cost so was only a nice ‘surprise’ on check out), scandalous given that other “cheaper hotels” we stayed in across southern Baja always provided clean drinking water. It is penny pinching in the wrong area 2) layout of hotel and heat in June means you rely of golf caddies to move around, considering that it is a necessity I don’t think guests should be obligated to tip every single ride.
1- Perfect location overlooking the ocean, interior decoration tastefully showcasing Mexican colours & style against classical wooden furniture. 2- Adults only pool section had the most stunning view out towards the coastline, incredibly relaxing watching and listening to the waves crashing 4- We ate at the Italian pizza place and appreciated the gorgeous view again. 5 - Staff were friendly and made the stay enjoyable. 6 - Room with ocean view is a must, was the center piece of our stay with balcony overlooking the Pacific with view towards Cabo

United StatesThe food that was not traditional Mexican food. It wasn't bad, but I felt that some had to much salt and some were not cooked through. I just recommend a test run with the staff. I also recommend if for the spa, if you are doing a facial, it should be just facial for the whole time. Not the head.
The place by the pool called Patio was the best food. The service was amazing. I would eat there everyday.

United StatesThe rates were high due to the holidays, the floors needed cleaning and food at the New Year’s Eve buffet was not that good.
Nice rooms, great pools and gorgeous views. We really liked the sister property, Vista Encantada, which is newer and adjoining. The rooftop pool and restaurants there are spectacular.

United Statesit was our first time- if we went again we’d probably stay in San Jose rather than in the corridor. you’re in a resort/ behind a gate - we wanted to explore and they prohibit Ubers from picking you up at the lobby so it’s a bit awkward to get in and out of the hotel (there are taxis but that requires cash and is easily twice the price). we made it work (and you can take Ubers back to the hotel no problem).
great pools, some decent food - including an excellent parfait at the juice bar.

United StatesI was tipping at least 20-30% on top of service charges on the receipts, and then learned staff only get half their tips that way, so I felt guilty! Bring lots of cash in smaller bills because it's hard to break larger bills there (the ATM is also insanely expensive to use with their ATM fees, international fees, plus your bank's fees--but at least they disperse US $$$). The RT shuttle into the Marina only runs every 2 hours and I wish it were hourly, but I only went once anyway. Unfortunately I had a really bad experience my last night eating at Trajinera. It stormed (a rarity there) so they closed most restaurants on resort (most are outdoors). I had made reservations at Trajinera--menu looked good. I arrive and they say they switched to buffet--I went in anyway even though I didn't want buffet because of limited other options and it was my last night. Anyway, the staff were clearly scrambling to accommodate this change to a buffet. While the options out would seem tasty (a cheese and meat selection, some hot dishes like rice and seafood, a grill station for steak, desserts), it was so humid and the doors were open and flies were landing on EVERYTHING. I ordered one margarita and ate a few things that went out early like some cheese and a few pieces of shrimp since they were served covered, but I felt so grossed out. I was worried about getting sick, so I decided to leave. The manager, Carlos, offered to give me a "no service fee" for a future order (I was leaving the next morning) or to prepare something separate. I declined, and when I shared more feedback on the food (truly, disgusting) he took about $20 off my $70 bill. So, I still paid $60ish w/tip and left hungry, and bummed out, not eating again until the airport the next day. Also, be aware that they charge $70 to take a shuttle to the airport (yet it's $25 to get picked up from the airport). Ubers are not allowed on property so there's no other option.
Well-kept and absolutely stunning property. Incredible pools and views (don't skip the spa's pool!). I was super satisfied with the pools I had access to, but be aware they won't let you use their Atico rooftop pool (which, I really wanted to and booked my stay partly due to photos of it, so was disappointed I couldn't!) unless you are a "resident" there (so they really shouldn't include photos of it on Booking or be clear it's for residents only). Friendly staff for the most part. Spacious and well-appointed rooms--loved the bathroom and HUGE bed plus patio looking out onto the ocean. Photos I would say are pretty accurate of the property and rooms! Free wifi was great--spotty but worked ok for me. Everything was very clean in my room and at the pools. Yummy room service breakfast options. Great shrimp cocktail at El Patio and amazing tacos at El Eden! I also appreciated that this wasn't a major US chain resort like Marriot etc.--it's independently, family owned. This all said, with SO many resort options in Cabo, I'm not totally sure I'd stay here again due to some of the issues I mention, but I enjoyed a lot about Hacienda Encantada.
