We only had 1 bath robe and they only give you two towels, we would have liked more. Also no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom once used. Would have liked some additional types of amenities (eg. Cotton buds at least).

Walls are very thin. You can hear every single thing. Our neighbors had their alarm go off and it woke me up as I thought it was my own alarm (that's how thin the walls are). Every door opening/slamming echos throughout the hall. Our keys worked only 1 out of the 4 days we stayed there. We kept having to go downstairs to have someone let us in our own room.

selected 2 rooms on Regency Floor, paid extra value and discovered it’s never opened for service which differs from other recent Hyatt facilities of which I use my membership. Our rooms were not cleaned in 2 consecutive days as they only render such cleaning service before 4pm. Nothing to drink or eat in Room Minibar- which was highly disappointing as didn’t know if water in Mexico is drinkable. The hotel restaurant is a pity and food is quite bad so we chose the coffee shop at extra charge. Upon checkout we argued about Regency floor food or drinks not available and found out that they weren’t able to lower rate for a service that was not rendered. Conclusion- select another hotel to stay in Merida as this one is too average and basic for the brand name it carries. We were a large party of more than 30 rooms and the disappointment was a general comment amongst hotel guests.

The only reason why we stayed at the hotel were the tennis courts that were not working at all! When I called to ask before booking the rooms no one mentioned anything about them being serviced. Also we stayed over Christmas, the dinner was $1,800pp and the dinner was terrible. Same service as the morning + 3 extra plates and no music no drinks no nothing. Wayyyyyyyy over priced for a buffet. They sent us to bed at 10pm on Christmas, like REALLY MAN? FOR 1,800 A PLATE?????
