Amazing beach, comfy apartment

Property and rooms were gorgeous, we loved the large deck, and ocean view. The kids loved the pool and hammocks. Staff were helpful. We had a great time!

In the evening you need a car to visit restaurants, there is one beach bar in walking distance which closes quite early

Really nice place, spacious apartments and the kids loved the pool. The beach is small but nice and within 15 min beach walk you are in Akumal where you can snorkelling with the turtles

Our room was in the basement and we had no patio nor a place to hang our wet suit and damp towel. We had no view from our room and had to keep the shade down for privacy.

Our room felt a little exposed and it was lower than ground level, but we knew that when we booked it, snd it was large.

The room was exceptionally clean and serviced with toiletries, a fully-stocked kitchen, beach towels, and two TVs (if you’re into TV). The pool was clean, and beach loungers under cabanas were always readily available. Beachcombing was fun, the main Akumal Beach from which you can snorkel was just a 12-minute walk along the beach, and there’s a fabulous restaurant called “The Jungle Fish” right next door. Great menu and excellent service. We loved Las Villas Akumal and would recommend it to those wanting a quieter experience than that of crowded Playa, Cancun, or Tulum. It was our favourite stop on the Mayan Riviera

The water from the faucets is not potable. Purified drinking water is provided, so it wasn’t much of an issue for me as I would have bought drinking water anyway.

The food in the facility restaurant was a bit pricey for the small amount of food and whiel tasty, just OK quality of the food. It is nice they make the food on the spot when ordered, but we were one of 2 other individuals in the restaurant and waited well over 40 minutes for food.

I loved the location of the facility and our room proximity to beach, direct view and away from public or busier areas. I loved our room, it was beyond perfect. I loved Lizbeth at the front desk and how helpful and accommodating she was for help with area restaurants, taxis and simply being available for little things that come up during our vacation. She is incredibly pleasant, her English is terrific and she was always ready with quick help!

Even when we turned the air conditioning off, cold air was pumped into the bedrooms through a central system; the bedrooms were uncomfortably cold at times. The hotel's restaurant was very basic and the only other restaurant within easy walking distance (Jungle Fish Beach Club) was very expensive for the average food on offer.

Lovely apartment and grounds. Attractive, peaceful beach with nobody hassling you to buy stuff. Easy parking and solid wifi.

We couldn't recommend this property more highly. All the staff were attentive and kind and would ensure your comfort was fully met at all times. The location is stunning, the property we stayed in was immaculate and we completely switched off, which is exactly all you need to do at Las Villas Akumal.

We enjoyed the privacy of Las Villas Akumal -- having a beautiful beach just steps away -- having Jungle Fish Restaurant, which is both excellent and fun, so close to us -- having the Las Villas Akumal restaurant upstairs for breakfast.

Few options for dining. But Jungle fish club is all you need.

Everything was great. Great location, great staff. Superb view, from beach front apartments. Good food at the restaurant above the accomodation rooms. If you want anything or info, just ask Lizbeth, Claudia or Yazumi. Lizbeth❤️... Thank you for everything.

Very few restaurants. Have to walk 30 min on beach to get to restaurants in town (four of them). Also no gym. And too many mosquitoes

When we booked, it appeared we had a terrace, but that is not the case when there are only 2 people. A bit more transparency would be helpful.

The restaurant is on the expensive side, but the food i very tasty.

The whole property is very nice. We love the fact that the apartments are spacious, comfortable and clean. The pool area is very relaxing and been able to see small turtles was a huge plus.
