Loud dance music at the pool starts at breakfast. The food is expensive but it was delicious and convenient. Our door didn't lock at first but the front desk sent someone to fix it.

The pools are nice and clean, relative to other pools we have seen in Mexico. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The poolside room can get loud so not ideal for a young family but convenient and great for others. The location is on the beautiful beach and also a short walk to all the action of cancun night life. We stayed for one night with teenage kids and it was perfect.

Our room could have been mopped before we came because there was loose hair here and there which always makes me queasy. Getting to the room was a maze, so I would say it's not super accessible if you or someone you are traveling with have mobility issues, though this was just an observation.

The location was amazing! Right on the beach and just off the beaten path of hotels. It was quiet but a couple of minute walk to the main entertainment area. The pool was beautiful and our room view was amazing. Staff was super friendly!

Noise at night and also all day, loud esta hotel in the area blasting dance music all day, also I took out a cross isn’t sitting st a table by the hotel pool and was told I had to out that away, it wasn’t allowed, being forced to wear arm bands you can’t remove (easily could be made openable) and just a general vibe of being a bit cheap. A lot of cleaning needed.

It would’ve been nice to have a small table on the balcony to set a beverage. Little things in the room have needed to be fixed for a long time too. Nothing that really affected our stay but just would’ve made it aesthetically more pleasing.

The location was absolutely the star of the show! The rooms needed a little TLC but it couldn’t take anything away from the amazing location and the stunning exterior of the hotel and the spectacular views!

Reception was not friendly at all. Upon arrival they seemed miserable and did not make us feel welcome. When we checked out they claimed that we needed to pay $300 for a cracked glass. We did not crack the glass and when I asked to speak to a manager they said there was no one else I could talk to. They offered no solution other than “pay $300 or you won’t be able to get out of the gate.” I ended up having to pay this because our airport shuttle was about to leave us and we needed a checkout slip to get through security. This situation was handled incredibly poorly and was unfair considering we had nothing to do with a cracked glass. We also had to pay $20 for one missing room key, which I thought was a steep charge.

The location was excellent. Very close to Senior Frogs and Coco Bongo. Security was also very good they ensured that only resort guests were at the property by having guards at every entrance and exit 24/7. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was also amazing, with perfect beach access. The bar and its staff, Alex and Diego, made us feel so welcome and made the hotel so much fun.

Receptionist were not friendly, first day getting there we would try to kinda joke since we didn’t know the place and she had a nasty attitude.

The hotel itself is outdated. What I ordered online didn’t match the room at all. Night stand was barely holding on to the wall, I couldn’t even put a phone on it. Shower was kinda dirty. No table in the room. Small closet for clothes with only 4 hangars.

The location of the hotel was the best. Walking distance to all the clubs. Beach was awesome.

Elevator is always busy with either staff doing housekeeping and only one works so being able to climb stairs in extreme hot and humid temperature is a must. A lot of children in the pool I don’t mind and even enjoy it but could understand that it’s an issue for many since they were quite unruly and loud. Facilities are in need of many repairs and lots was going on while we were there. Also quite close to huge clubs like Coco Bongo and music was extremely loud especially some nights was hard to sleep and went on until 6am.

Amazing beach and pool, beautiful room with balcony and good air conditioning. Housekeeping was very good and food and drinks reasonably priced.

Lots of people seemed to come to the hotel just for the day (we were there at the weekend so not sure if this is during the week too) with ‘day passes’ - so the pool areas became quite busy at times with sun loungers being occupied. Also they have a strict policy with the towels remaining very clean - when we checked out we saw them produce ‘bagged evidence’ for other guests of marks on their towels from previous days and were charging. Check out took a long time with them explaining that they needed to get someone to check we hadn’t left anything in the room (but with having witnessed a couple of people being charged whilst we were waiting- it was probably because they were thoroughly inspecting everything).

The elevators were a bit rickety and at times it took a while to catch a ride.

The Ocean Dream was such a fantastic place to stay! My family all had a blast at the pool and at the beach! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating! It was really a great value!
