The property is so beautiful with Chino Portuguese style but minimal too . Feeling like home and very quiet Staff kind , nice and helpful. Location is very good can walk to famous destinations. Recommend.

Although the bed was very very large it was sinking a lot.

Beautiful large room with lots of character in a lovely place with an eye for the interior design. Good communal facilities, kettle and washing machine, etc. Also the free bread was a nice touch. Great position with everything in a short walk. Good wifi and air conditioning.

My family and I really enjoyed this beautiful and comfortable place these 3 days, the shared bathroom is clean and shampoo/shower is provided. Also the bread is delicious, thank you so much, definitely will back to here if i come to Penang again🥰

Great service from Shane and MK. This is one of only two hotels that I've stayed in for a second time. Just down the road is a quaint Austrian restaurant Christoph's, which serves excellent schnitzel for just RM60.

Only issue was the noise. The building isn't very soundproof (to be expected) and georgetown has a very active social scene at night 😂 but earplugs are even provided to help with this.

Beautiful building in very historic area. Excellent location for getting around Georgetown. Very clear and easy communication including detailed instructions on how to check in. Also shared lots of advice on places to visit and how to get round (thank you so much!)

The shared bathroom condition can be improved like the tap and the sink can be changed to a bigger one. Also will be great if they can make a wet and dry section, it helps a lot. For older folks like 70 and above, suggestion is to make anti slip for the toilet. I am in my 40s but I saw some old couple, that also can help the user experience for others esp when some travellers uses conditioner in shower.

The communication with the owner is superb from pre booking to check out and also during my stay, the owner is super helpful. The amount of rooms is good and my room is clean and cozy. The shared bathroom can be improved. Location is superb and also I love the space.

We spent 2 nights at Aayu and we loved the place. It's an old heritage house newly renovated with a minimalist style, in a central location. It just needs some little improvements in the bathroom because it is shared by many people on the same floor. The fresh bread every morning was delicious!

The location is great; it is near many good restaurants and Cafes, and there are a lot of bus stops nearby. The owners were so kind to me. Before getting there, they let me know they were fixing my room's AC and they were a bit worried, because I was waiting for my room. But I did not mind, we were having a really good conversation. In my room there was a welcoming letter and few amenities. During my stay, they bought fresh and really good bread every morning. There were tea and coffee in the kitchen as well.

Nothing to say we loved it!

It was amazing! An old colonial house with an interior “garden”. We loved the rooms. Everything was very clean and not humid! The minimalist design was very nice, the shared common space also amazing. We even had some biscuits and a written letter as a welcome “kit”.

The mattresses in the 3-beds-room were very worn out and uncomfortable, but we informed the owner and I am sure they will replace them soon.

The house has a very beautiful style and great location. Shane was very helpful and communication was easy and quick.
