United StatesNo air conditioning in my particular room. I think most rooms are air conditioned. Totally worth it to get air conditioning.
Clear light blue water. Incredible marine life. Very good value for the room. Make sure to go on a snorkeling and try scuba trip to see the very impressive massive boulder corals turtles and small black tip sharks. Unforgettable experience. Short 15 minute walk to Long Beach which has better restaurants and better coral free beach for swimming.

PortugalToo many instances where I had to ask for things to be repaired; in the 1st cabin, the shower didn't work, there was a kettle supplied but no cup/mug, the plug-in inserct repellant was empty- it got a bit tedious traipsing up & down to the front desk. At the 2nd cabin the outside light needed replacing & the lock on the door was faulty, so I got locked out. All basic housekeeping stuff, not rocket science. Senja Bay has a sign at the jetty with phone no's to ring if you want help with your luggage. When I rang, she hung up. Twice. It'd be an idea to tell people booking in that the monkeys are prone to stealing clothes from the line, rather than finding out the hard way. The WiFi system is arcane, confusing & needlessly irritating. Despite all this, I enjoyed my stay; it's Perhentian kecil, after all!
Excellent location at the quiet end of Coral Bay & right on the beach, which is kept clean. Accommodation is simple but adequate, with chairs & table outside each cabin. I extended my stay, moved from aircon/2 singles to no aircon/double. The guys were always cheerful, friendly & quick to assist. Free water refills was a nice touch, as were the yoga mats, beach shower and replacement towels. On the whole, the good outweighed the annoyances. When the shower was repaired, it was very good.

It was nice and quiet, and snorkeling in Coral Bay was much better than expected with clear water, some live coral, anemone (complete with Clown Fish aka Nemo), and lots of other small fish. Also larger fish like Trigger Fish, Humphrey Wrasse and small Blacktip Reef Sharks :) The staff were great - helpful and friendly. We'd definitely come back.

SpainNot really clean: humidity and conditions on the island are tough but still... my bathroom was a no-go-zone, extra humid, like walking in a uterus, clogged sink! non-functional extraction: they should rebuild the bathrooms as semi-opened additions to the bungalows as they do in other islands so they get self-ventilated. Pillows and bed-linen so-so.... Got the worst room in the resort at arrival: no A/C, broken noisy fan! no hanging bar in the closet (but hangers present, funny!), plain dirty smelly pillows and the biggest issue: just in front of the resort's diesel electrical generator: constant loud noise. They should really NOT rent this room without AC as sleeping with the windows opened in this room is an ordeal unless you were born deaf. Got changed to the adjacent room as requested and it was quite better: functional, silent fan, pillows ok, hanger, generator on the other side... Staff is helpful but they really should improve the cleaning, get some bleach in that bathroom, fix broken fans/extractors/closet/sink and install an AC on the rooms close to the generator. Resorts by the sea get run-down fast without proper maintenance. With a little care this place would be a paradise. No safety box... Ants and lizards everywhere so don't leave food in the open or the jungle will come fast at you ;) (you are not in Kansas anymore) WIFI is funny: you have to ask for a new code every single day. 'Cmon guys its 2023... It's fast, tho.
Best location in the island, quiet central beautiful beach with coral and sharks, taxis and dine-out options, 10min walk from Long Beach with even more options. Breakfast was very basic but did the job. Helpful staff. Drinking water fountain at the lobby so you can refill. Probably one of the best options for this price in the island. Fauna right at your porch. And funny pirañas and baby sharks in the sea (not dangerous) :)

United KingdomNot very organised and cornered for tips. I was walked 10 meters to my room, then the male staff member stood in the door saying ‘I’m poor can you give me a tip’. He then came back two minutes later as I was checked into the wrong room. When I arrived at the new room it was messy and had not been cleaned and the beds had been slept in! I then had to wait outside for five minutes for it to be cleaned. This was clearly rushed and no done properly. The place did not feel clean. The breakfast wasn’t great and terrible wifi! This is an ok place to stay but this is not luxury. Very much like a hostel quality.

SloveniaThe huts seem to be very old, there are holes in the walls big enough to let bugs and little lizards inside, the floor is very worn out and the whole hut shakes whenever you or someone from next door moves. The hut smells of mould. The sheets were stained and also seem to be very old. The breakfast is very local (noodles and rice) which is ok but we missed a little bit of protein and some fresh fruit. Also there is no regular milk for coffee.
The location, it’s on the beach, the view from the room is amazing, you can fill water bottles with drinkable water for free, you get wifi codes for every day you stay there. There’s a place in front of the room to dry your clothes, which is very convenient. The staff were really welcoming and friendly.

MalaysiaIt just that the location is far from Jetty. When we arrived we need to carry our ludgage. However when we go back, hotel assisted us to send our ludgage to the jetty. Probably need to standby transport to pick up ludgage upon arrival. Tried to contact hotel but not in the line. Apart from that the food is not value for many. We had lunch at the cafe upon arrival and not satisfied with the food. It is pricy but the quality is low. It must be at par with the price charged to the customer. Breakfast also tasteless. Seriously need to improve on the food quality.
Beautiful place. Our room facing the sea and we can hear the beach sound from the room. Just open the door n fantastic view in front of us. Friendly staff.

CanadaThe fan in my room was really rickety and made a creaking noise while it was on, so I had to turn it off at night in order to sleep, which of course removed the source of cooling, making the room less comfortable. There was also a hole in the wall a little bigger than a tennis ball.. it looked like it had been drilled out to maybe install a light or something? But I think bugs were getting into my room through the hole. Overall, accommodation is pricier on the island, but it was hard to ignore these things when you’re used to the kind of value you get at places on the mainland.
Great location - I preferred Coral Bay over Long Beach, and Senja is in a great spot along the beach. I also enjoyed the breakfast that was offered each morning and the staff were really nice! It was also neat that the cabin I was in was so high up. You had to climb a bunch of stairs to get to it, but I thought it was cool.

The hotel is just facing the beach. The room is clean, cool, there is a balcony so at night you can hang out near the balcony and enjoying the sea breeze at night. So relax. The staff is also friendly. We booked for room without aircond but we got room with aircond. Great! The aircond works well.
