Do not recommend if you don’t have a car. I booked this place because of its close vicinity to the train station (8 minutes walk), however the key has to be picked up at the reception which was 15 minutes walk to the other direction of the train station and it has to be return at the same place again. We were told we got upgraded to a room which is near the reception when we collected the key but one of the family member was waiting at the train station with all of the luggage. so the options were: 1. we take the upgrade, walk 15 minutes back to the train station and walk 15 minutes to the room, and walk 15 minutes to the station on the day of checkout, or 2. Walk 15 minutes back to the train station + 8 minutes to the original room, then walk 15 minutes + 8 minutes on the day of checkout, then 15 minutes to the station to catch the train. We took option 1.

Reception was not located in the same place as the apartment. Pool was not free to use. Apartment did not have wifi. There was no hairdryer.

Nice stop on the route between Stavanger and Oslo. Close to the centre of Geilo. Building belongs to a hotel nearby where you check in.

The apartment is beginning to feel slightly tired with a few items needing replacement. It is just big enough for two people but we like the 'just enough' feel to the place.

Shopping was a bit of a distance away.

We had a dragged out suitcases along the main road in the snow up to the Ustedalen and we were immediately offered an upgrade to the main resort. The apartment had everything that we needed and great views of the piste. Ski bus goes from outside direct to the ski lifts.

The property was really fine, but some more instructions about the property would have been appreciated. It would have been good to know that as the only apartment in the building you had to find the entrance elsewhere and for checkout.

Things worked and it had almost all the things we needed - more equipment in the kitchen would have been appreciated.

The original apartment was a bit tatty and needed refurbishment.

Our apartment smelled and we were a bit disappointed so we got upgraded to an apartment in the hotel and it was beautiful. Amazing views in both apartments.

Just something to note: there is no wifi in the apartment. This is not necessarily a problem, but if you're travelling for work or need to use wifi for other reasons, consider this. Also, not sure what the problem was, but on the second morning there was no hot water in the shower.

A warm and roomy apartment with a great view, not to far from town centre with shops, cafes and the railway station. Hiking trails and the fjord, as well as the Fekjo park and Geilojordet museum not too far away. Perfect for a little getaway.

We were upgraded into bigger appartment with sauna. At the beginning we had difficulties with our stove and because of a late hour, the hotel invited us for dinner which saved the day. They were super helpful and responsive.
