Don't know where the communication fell apart, but the Booking.com info indicated there would be breakfast - so this should get sorted out. Also, our storehouse room had very steep stairs, and one bed was up a ladder to a loft. We didn't have any trouble with this, but guests should get that info when booking this particular room.

We loved the fact that our room was in an old storehouse that had been nicely updated to include a kitchenette and bathroom. The beds were comfortable. We had not understood that they were no longer serving breakfast-- we were there after the summer season -- but Lucia very kindly showed up at our door the first morning with coffee and waffles.

Anything was perfect at Hesla Farm. The host was kind with us in any circumstances, making us feel home. She made one of the deliciousest breakfast we had in Norway. Moreover, the place was beautiful! Old-norwegian little house which are clean and furnished with all you need. Thank you, Hesla Farm!

Such a lovely place and the Hesla Family is very welcoming and take care of their guests in all the details, making the experience unique! Our 3 years old son was so happy playing with instruments such as ukulele and battery as well as with the rabbit, chicken and birds. Breakfast is home made, fresh and very good. We were in a nice chalet clean, quite and comfortable. Nothing to say, Can only recommend!

The bathroom is tiny. It is hard to fit all the modern facilities in the small hut. Also, it would be better to have a blackout curtain for summer;)

The room, setting and hosts were all excellent - only exception were the cold waffles and coffee offered for breakfast.

the wifi was very weak, and this proved challenging since we, like most travellers rely on wifi to research our plans, watch a movie, etc. also, the second bed in the living room was very narrow.

we loved the historic charm beautiful landscape and delicious breakfasts. Ligia was a fantastic hostess and really went above and beyond with the extras like making us soup in the afternoons and making sure we had everything we need. It was very peaceful and lovely to stay at Hesla Gård!

Hesla Farm is one of the cosiest places we ever had been. A large garden with apple trees and chickens running around is surrounded by wooden buildings. We had a large two room apartment plus a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bathroom. Located at Gol it is at one of the crossroads in Southern Norway. I the evening we had nice talks at the outdoor open fire place with guests from other countries. Norwegian hospitality with a touch and warmth of South America.

We were warmly greeted on arrival by our sweet host and everything turned out to be even better than expected. We loved the unique accommodation with great attention to detail and sustainability. The juxtaposition of old and new features merged modern comforts and the soul of the traditional style in a very charming way. If we come back to Gol, this is where we would want to stay.

Hands down one of the most fascinating hotels we have ever stayed at, considering multiple countries over several continents. Beautifully located on the mountain slope with the opposite beautiful mountain slope & fresh air really making it a pleasant location. The farm itself is 100% authentic with the oldest room option from year 1632. It also has a very old barn with cute countryside shop. You can get to stay in one of the old houses from either of 17th / 18th / 19th & 20th century. The hotel has very nicely renovated the houses to have max comfort with modern functionality while fully keeping the old decorations & style. We were 2 couples that truly enjoyed this stay. Got so pleasantly surprised about the whole experience. Also the staff is super, super nice! They are smiling & can show you around the farm & tell you some stories if you are interested. Highly recommend!
