We went in April. It was a perfect place to relax and chill. It was linked to a swimming pool and spa! Perfect place for me time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast. Lots of places inside hotel and in grounds to relax.

The room was big, baby bed had no extra cost. Bed was comfortable. Hotel has an elevator. Our room was tidy. From the hotel restaurant was possible to see the sea and sandy beach. The morning breakfast was very good. The hotel has restaurant and bar area.

Limited menu choices in restaurant but the food was of good quality. Irregular room cleaning times, sometimes in the morning while at other times not until late afternoon.

Magnificent location with amazing view along the entire fjord out to the ocean. Very elaborate Scandinavian breakfast! Well-kept grounds directly adjacent to the beach.

Due to covid restrictions breakfast was served to us. There would be far less waste if you provided a menu and guests could select what they wanted. Every table had a lot of food and drinks left on them plus an enormous amount of small dishes that needed clearing and washing.

Location is AMAZING and the free tickets to the water park was an added bonus. We had a junior suite and the view was beautiful.

We stayed in one of the apartments next to the hotel building. Here the WiFi signal was rarely working (we stayed one week) and then staff couldn't fix the technical problem. It was possible to walk with the device to the main building though where the signal was strong. The space in the sleeping rooms was narrow but typical for a flat. Could have been more closets for storing clothes. Only a small commode in the parent room. Nothing in the kids room. Not enough plugs.

The hotel area offers many different activities: hiking, sup 200 nok an hour with free life vests, bikes for free, crab fishing, nearby bading resort included, beach... so anyone can find something to do depending on his interest. It also has a indoor children playroom and billard The apartment had a freezer! On the terrace are seats and table. The staff was very friendly. The view is beautiful. The location is practical.

The shower didn’t have a rubber sweep under the doors so the whole bathroom got flooded when I took a shower. It was really hard to find a parking spot. It was really hot in the room and there was no air condition. Was really hard to sleep in the heat even though we opened a window. It was so light at 6 am because the curtains were bad.

The breakfast was good. The bed was comfy and the room over all was clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. We got tickets to Sorlandsbadet when we booked the Room.

We stayed in a junior suite. It wasn't much more than a double room, with a jacuzzi added. It wasn't worth the extra cost. The restaurant has a limited selection; basically, you can eat a salad, a burger or the catch of the day as mains. That's it. They ran out of burgers on the second day, so we had to eat the exact same catch of the day twice in a row. The staff mainly consisted of students who were on a summer job. It was obvious that most of them were not trained properly (yet). The bed was quite bad, making a squeaky noise.

Very nice location with a beach front. The hotel is modern and sleek, the room was clean and quiet. The restaurant is great, albeit the selection is rather limited.

Slightly on the expensive side. We had booked a room with jacuzzi, which was great, but then it feels a bit underwhelming to have a big joint shampoo/soap bottle in the shower. Not quite the spa feel it could have been. But these are just details.

Great restaurant, and amazing service - some of the best I've experienced in Norway. Spacious, comfortable and relaxing. We ended up liking it so much we extended our stay with one day. Great setting next to the beach and just next to the spa and swimming resort Sørlandsbadet (which unfortunately was covid-closed when we visited, so I can't rate that). It's also not far to walk into nearby Lyngdal, which has a couple of nice restaurants. I can greatly recommend "Sjø".

Restaurant was closed, village or town terribly boring, no normal restaurant to be found. Next to hotel a campsite, terrible. Hotel room was cheap, badly made, bathroom below standard (Bath broken), bed very bad, never slept so badly.
