Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomDidn’t receive any replies to messages from the hosts on booking.com or texts (assume international restrictions) so had to call to find out what room we were in. No reception option so it was odd/impersonal to only have calling as an option to contact the host. We were in room 202 on the ground floor. Even though the Rorbuer seemed quiet in terms of occupancy, the room above was being used and you could hear everything upstairs. Even just walking around upstairs was noisy for us below. Was a bit of a shift in terms of quality and comfort vs other places we stayed at in Lofoten.
Location was good for getting to Svolvaer. Room size was decent, cute inside and had plenty of facilities (like for cooking). Walking distance to Skarungen which is well worth a visit for their sauna and hot tub!

CanadaNo confirmation was sent to me about which room I will be in or how to get the keys. We just showed up and walked in a room cause the door was unlocked. There were several rooms unlocked with the keys left in the door. I sent an email and messaged their chat but there was no response for the entire night. I got an email the next day and the staff didn't even respond to my question about the room number and key access. We also didn't have some kitchen supplies so we walked over to another unlocked room and got some from there. So some rooms have everything you need and some do not. There is also no curtains in the washroom so the neighbours or anyone walking by can see you

Spainwe did a reservation for a group of 5 people and when we got there we where told our reservation couldn’t get done properly because the apartment got flooded and they placed us in another apartment only for 4. truth being said they gave us a solution pretty fast and we where okay with that (they brought us an extra foldable bed)

Finland.The address in booking.com, and message is different from the final text message, thus was really confusing, we drove to a wrong place. In such a case, you should emphasize there is a difference. Another thing, receiption is from 17 to 23 from the website, but this is not the case. The receiption office is closed, after 19:00 the phone number can not be reached. I also saw several other customer with complaint at receiption. In general, the management of the company is not well organized, and I am not satisfied with the service.

GermanyWi-fi signal more than poor (basically, there was no wifi). Problems with booking (when we arrived, host had no idea we had booked, had to call and wait for him to find the reservation and send the sms with key codes and number of the cabin). Property itself is authentic fishermens cabin with great views, but it needs thorough dusting. Kitchen shelves are falling apart because of old and damaged hinges. Kitchen very poorly equipped.
