Fantastic location overlooking the sea, clean with everything you need, comfotable bed and quiet. Owners are exceptional.

Very old and needs significant repairs and maintenance. It felt unclean even though the staff had cleaned. The toilet water gurgled all day and night even when staff were told, no effort was made to address the issue. The lounge smelled so bad I could not sit in it at all. Two of the four running chairs were so rickety, I was worried we would fall through them.

Internet speed was slow. (but if you want to have a relaxing time, it does not matter at all)

It is located in a quiet area and has great views from the balcony. We booked 4 family members and there were 1 double bed and 3 single beds. The room was tidy and nice.

Lost something at the motel. Tried to call for couple times but no one answered for most of the times. Will try again later. Maybe they could improve on that part. But it was our mistake at the first place.

Low water pressure in bathroom/shower/toilet- however we learned afterwards from the owner that this is common across the whole area- we still managed to use the facilities but were a bit worried about possibly blocking up the toilet! Kitchenette/Kitchen- there is no mixer tap as the hot/cold taps are separate- however everything else functional (no range hood fan from memory). Outdoor space (deck) was a bit dusty but we still happily used this!

The harbour view from our room was the favourite of all the places we stayed at in NZ- it was relaxing, peaceful and also rejuvenating. You could see the sunrise, sunset, the boats, the birds, the hills in the distance- and there was a lovely private deck to enjoy it all with some chairs. We even had breakfast out there! The views, the clean rooms, the interesting and funny owners. We are rock hounds, and the owner Ross showed us some very interesting rock finds belonging to his family. We feel totally at home here, and are going back again for our third visit. Read the intro material in the folder for loads of great information and some great laughs too.

Interior Getting a bit tired and the shower was a bit weak, deck furniture cushions need cleaned or replaced.

Great location and terrific views, comfy bed and good kitchen facilities. Friendly service at reception. Zippy the cat was a star.

Unit was dated but comfortable and fully functional. There was a generous balcony to relax and enjoy the excellent view. Good access to Sky TV channels. Town centre within walking distance.

The car parking can be tricky in a huge car.

Beautiful views and a great balcony to sit on and enjoy the view. Ross was amazing - helping with car parking, sorting long over due washing etc and helping with a forgotten item. He’s fantastic! Air conditioning was appreciated too.
