Nice hostel, good kitchen, nice lounge and beds in shared room are good. It's nice that they provide coffee and tea. It's a good location to explore the things to see and do in Arthur's pass and right next to the store.

I loved how it was within walking distance of the cafe/store ect. The facilities were very clean and organized - super good for the money we paid. Well worth a stay if you come to Arthurs Pass.

I'd have prefrred a separate room but for the cost, the bunkroom was good enough.

Tash is a nice host. She keeps the place very clean (fresh sheet and pillowcase for every visitor). The bathrooms and toilets are spotless. Good kitchen facilities and some nice quiet spaces upstairs.

Loved the location. It is a busy hostel and nice to meet lots of different people. Able to access lovely walks and also see lots of wildlife. The kitchen was good size

room quite cramped for 8 people. felt disorganised, especially when lots of people checking in on the same day, no bed allocation (and additional 4 bed room on the side). staff quite rude when a guest turned up on the wrong night but only realised at 9.30pm that he didn't have a bed (I think an easy misunderstanding), but did let him stay the night (on the sofa). no formal check in system or staff member on site (when I was sitting outside during the day, new guests would be asking me how to check in, felt like I worked there, was quite annoying)

No onsite staff. Our room was upstairs via a tight set of spiral stairs. It was a little tricky to navigate with a big backpack and slightly inconvenient to go down every time you needed the bathroom. But overall, I would stay again.

Convenient place to stop on the TA. Big kitchen downstairs and coffee making facilities with fridge and lounge space upstairs. Free tea and coffee all day. Very close to Cafe and small convenience store.

The room we had was a tight squeeze for the 3 of us.

I had stayed there before so I knew what to expect. It's a classic trampers lodge with shared facilities including well-equipped kitchen.

Right at the bottom of the famous avalanche track ! Very nice and peaceful place, full equipped kitchen and even a small lounge. Easy way to enter with the email provided and all the informations.

The handle on the bathroom door would come off a little. Spiral stair case to one of the rooms could be an issue for some people.

Big, clean kitchen made it easy to make meals. Lots of lounge space for everyone.

The room layout is not optimal. We had to go through the laundry to get from our room to the kitchen.

The shared kitchen was clean and wellequipped. The stuff was friendly and helpful. There was a good atmosfere. Good parking spaces close to the house.

Beautiful location! The facility was clean and tidy. Bunks were average as bunk beds are... but were comfy for the purpose of a backpackers. Not a lot of space for personal belongings for the number of beds. Showers great. And the lady (staff) who came in in the morning to do the house keeping... she was just the best! She gets 13/10 for her humour!
