The only downside was that there was no entertainment and it was all very quiet after 9pm.

It’s a beautiful building! The lobby is simply gorgeous! The breakfast was exceptional. There is so much variety and everything tasted delightful! The pool and the surrounding area was faultless and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and access to the beach and sea. Furthermore, the customer service was excellent. Everyone from the management, staff on reception, in the dining hall and the cleaners were so accommodating and helpful. Overall Al Bustan Palace is an amazing place to visit and we can recommend it enough!

I suggest to pay much more attention to the food and beverage costs! Too much expensive, it cannot be that you have to pay for a soft drink the equivalent of 8/9 Euro!! outside the hotel with that much you can buy 10 bottles....!!!! not reasonable at all!!

Breakfast was super. The terrace promises beautiful views! Great selection of everything you could ask for - try to go earlier to avoid the rush hour. Also, on the deck, be aware of the birds; they will try to steal your delicious food when you walk away from your table. The pool was great. The views towards the mountain, sea, and beautiful gardens were stunning and paradise-like for us. Great servicing too. The room was good, standard luxury-type interior (rather darker standard hotel furniture). We prefer a more modern, individual approach with artsy elements and colors - but again very subjective, and from the pictures, we knew what to expect. What we loved was a small birthday decoration the hotel had prepared and surprised us with fruits and chocolate. Lastly, we wanted to mention the absolutely incredible hotel staff! Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming and funny! Thanks

It was a fabulous experience being hosted at Al Bustan. The facilities, the service, the kindness of the crew were something to be mentioned. Our maitre (Salim Muqaimi) was always so polite and kind, making the experience during the breakfast being better than the expectations. I also would like to highlight the kindness of the waiter Brian (from Kenia) and Febri (from Indonesia). Besides the fantastic experience with the facilities, the kindness and receptiveness of the crew is something that made all the experience being something more for us.

At the time of our stay the Jazz Club lounge was closed and the Chinese restaurant as well, not sure if because of former Covid issues or else. The hotel is isolated so dining is only available at the hotel, or need a 20mn ride by taxi to reach the old Muscat and find other alternatives. But the ones at the hotel are so nice...It seems there are not much nautical sport activities proposed, although equipment is there, may be because of the season?

The location is really nice, on a private beach, large swimming pool with trees around providing partly shadow, great restaurants, both buffet and fine dining right on the beach front. I recommend rooms with swimming pool/beach view. Rooms on the ground floor have a direct access to a small pool that can be nice when the weather is very hot. Buffet breakfast is excellent and theme buffet dinners as well (theme is changing every day so even when staying a week dinners would be different). Concierge is efficient with a lot of activities to propose, though quite expensive. Great fitness club, tennis courts.

Air conditioning very high and very noisy in rooms (not adeguated to 5 stars): not possible to sleep with the noise. Rooms are ok but not at cost level. Extra service like airport shuttle or similar costs more than twice than taxi. Sea water is average, far from paradise sea.

Wonderful pools and good buffet restaurant. The service is good and personell is willing to help any time. Good kids services with dedicated warm pool, plays and kids club. A pleasant stay overall!
