Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly issue we had was the lack of a kettle in the room.
Hotel was ideally located next to the main square with valet parking. Facilities were lovely, we had a couples massage in the spa which was very relaxing. Breakfast was well presented with lots of choice and the staff were friendly and efficient. We will stay again when

United KingdomTea making facilities were lacking in the rooms so the option of tea bags and a kettle would benefit the experience further. Did not detract from the overall stay but would have been beneficial.
The hotel is in a prime location near the square. We had a small issue of noise at about 0630 (crockery noise and talking) in our initial junior suite from the restaurant as the room was above the dining area. We notified reception and were immediately offered 2 other rooms, one which was an upgrade at no additional charge, which we obviously took. That level of service was excellent. Nothing too much trouble for the staff.

United KingdomThe plugs and mirrors were not ideally situated, so I had to sit on the floor to dry my hair in front of a mirror! Not ideal...
Location excellent, but the rooms overlooking the street were a little noisy for a while with late night revellers! Bed comfy, good hot shower and good breakfast choice.

FinlandRoom was too scented. We don't use perfumes or scented soaps etc, so the scent was too much for us. There was water dripping from our room's ceiling, but it was fixed when we mentioned about it.
Really nice hotel with excellent location. We were surprised how big the room was and that there was a big bath tub! Beds were comfy. We also really enjoyed the spa.

IrelandIt was our first time visiting Krakow and the hotel is centrally located in the old city of Krakow. Within walking distance is so many tourist sites, beautifully decorated, so clean, comfortable and the staff were most helpful and accommodating. They provided us with excellent recommendations for restaurants, as well as arranging airport transfers and trips to local tourist sites. The spa/pool area was an additional asset and we would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful historical city of Krakow.

DenmarkMy partner did not find the bed comfortable, as he requires more support at a heavier weight. The curtains in the room were too see through and there was no way to block the light coming into the room at 6am. Our bathroom was very dark (looks like it is by design), so if you wanted to see yourself properly while applying make up, you would need to find another place to do it. We spotted some cob webs on the bathroom ceiling and noticed that the edge around the pool has not been cleaned forever. Our large mirror in the room was also very dusty. The breakfast buffet was very sad looking with lunch meet and cheeses placed just on a counter for hours, getting dry and unappealing. We saw other guests received breakfast menus and were ordering other things than presented in a buffet, but we were not informed about such option and not given any menus, even thought the staff who greeted us knew we were there the first time. It made us feel weird. Why not get some cooling plates to keep your meets and cheeses on? Why not communicate clearly that some things can be made to order, so every guest is informed? Most of these things are small details, and are easy to fix. I would just expect a 5 star hotel to be on top of it already without me having to point it out :)
It is a very beautiful hotel with a calm vibe. High ceilings, elegant interior, our room and the bathroom were very spacious. All day access to the gym and spa area was mainly the reason we picked to stay at this hotel, and we were happy with our choice. The location is very central, and everything you may need is just around the corner from the hotel. The staff was always available and friendly whenever we had any questions or requests :)

IrelandBreakfast is expensive so we ate outside of hotel. More pillows could be provided as you only get one. Lighting can be very dim in the rooms, but they're so pretty it's not a massive issue. Just be mindful putting on your makeup.
Fantastic spot. Right on the main square. Rooms are spacious, quiet and well appointed. Very atmospheric...a gem of a hotel.

United KingdomThere was no kettle in the room for making tea and coffee which was a disappointment. We didn't have breakfast on any of the mornings as the cost was disproportionately hugely expensive.
Room was pleasant and cleaned well every day. The hotel had a nice ambience and the small gym and plunge pool were a bonus. The location is absolutely perfect, right off the central square.

United KingdomOur room had no tea/coffee facilities which was disappointing. We asked for a kettle, cups etc but no extra tea/coffee was provided during our stay. Luckily we took some coffee/tea with us and purchased milk. On a city break, this facility is a must for me! Nowhere comfortable to sit around the bar/reception area. A few sofa’s would have been nice.
Great location, just outside the main square. Swimming pool and sauna facilities very nice to have and relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
