We stayed in mid September but the hotel restaurant shut at 6pm and the bar shut at 9pm and ran out of beer! The pool side bar was closed throughout our stay.

A wonderful hotel which is a 10-15 minute walk away from the center of Alvor. We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious 2 bed apartment with self catering facilities and a lovely top floor terrace. The pool was very clean and the sunbeds were new so very comfortable. The staff, particularly Kate and Luri are fantastic ambassadors for the hotel, nothing was too much trouble and Beatrice at the bar, was also wonderful. Thank you all.

Nothing to dislike, but maybe the bar could stay open an extra hour or two to enjoy a nightcap after dinner!!.

First time staying at Pelican Alvor. Lovely quiet Hotel,within a 15 walk to Alvor. Room was like a large modern Apartment with all the mod cons. Breakfast was very tasty with a variety of hot food and delicious pastries.Pool area is so tranquil and restful that we actually spent a lot of time at it,something we rarely do on holidays. Extremely good value for our weeks stay. All the staff very friendly especially at check in desk who were very accomodating on our early arrival.Will definitely return next year.

We didn't include breakfast in our package as we were able to buy it in or go out early and that suited us. There is no lunch dinner option apart from a snack/sandwich bar.

Loved the friendly staff, freedom of studio with kitchen & living/dining areas. Pool area great. Rooms cleaned daily. 10 minute walk to the town - maybe 20 to the beach or 5 min drive

The bathrooms were a little under par and the walls were marked in places. The room needed a bit of TLC. One bedside lamp didn’t work as it wasn’t plugged in and no socket near by! Expected a higher standard for the price.

The hotel and grounds were lovely. Staff very friendly. Food on the terrace at lunchtime was excellent.

ideal location with very pleasant 15 min walk to village square. staff very accommodating. stayed several times and always enjoy. on this occasion initially allocated room at end of first floor with pool side view however balcony was directly aligned with roof of terrace that leads down to pool. obstructed view compared with other pool side view rooms we’ve had in the past. we asked if there were any other rooms available further along on same floor or any other floor where this wouldn’t be an issue (if possible, we would have made do if necessary as room itself was fine). staff accommodated this without hesitation and we were very happy with alternate room and the view was beautiful. the reason I mention this is to demonstrate the high level of customer service from the staff. really impressed by how accommodating they were.

Spacious rooms, always so clean, great facilities in the room (big fridge, barista coffee machine, oven, microwave, hob etc) big pool area wirh loads of sun loungers and lovely helpful staff! It's a very family friendly place without being loud and too busy. Really enjoyed our stay and would come back to this hotel

I guess the only thing I can point out is that the AC unit was in the balcony and it was a bit noise.

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was pretty good, the pool as well, the room itself very relaxing and comfortable. Overall it was a very good experience, and it will be on my shortlist to come back.
