Joao and his wife were very welcoming and accommodating. We arrived early, and we forgot to do the check-in in advance, but that wasn't a problem. They were friendly and happy to give suggestions. The property was beautiful, comfortable, very clean and with great attention to detail. The village is very quiet and the locals are very friendly. The location is perfect for a short break. It's very close to Obidos, Lagoa de Obidos, Nazare, Peniche and Baleal. We had a wonderful time as a family

We got lost getting there but it was our adventure and the house was just a reward :-) The place itself full of handmade furniture and decorations. We were greeted by the owner's wife and son with homemade cookies and liquor :-) We felt like long awaited friends. If we could we would have stayed there a lot longer: very peaceful place with a big couryard and beautiful view.

Our stay at Casa D Amélia was wonderful. We arrived fully exhausted from our roadtrip and were warmly welcomed by João the owner. The apartment was very clean and fully equipped. João even build many things by himself which gave it a lovely charm of a home and prepared for our arrival some traditional cookies from his wife and the regions special liquor. The village Vau is a small authentic village with great proximity to beautiful Obidos and the Lagune. It was also very safe to just leave the car outside but there is also a big shared patio with a cute veranda. My highlight was definitely the neighbours farm animals which you watch from the bedroom window.

João was very friendly and helped us a lot with recommendations. The house is very well located, you have a lot of beautiful places to visit around, the beach is only 10-15 minutes away. ⛱️ The house is stylish and has everything you need, you can see how they put a lot of thought in each little detail. Right in the middle of the nature, in a very quiet location, you can completely disconnect from the day to day life and feel the vacation vibe right away. It works perfectly for digital nomads as well, you have plenty of space to work from, the big dinning table or even the terrace table outside. Shower was a bit old. It is not in Obidos but in an aisolated village. One of the 3 bedrooms had a very hard.bed.
