We loved staying in this special and beautiful house. Everything was perfect and it felt like home. We had a nice bbq in the very well kept garden, cooked meals in the complete kitchen and watched a film by the fireplace in the living room. We ate bananas that the kind neighbours offered us. We have stayed in a lot of different places all over the world but this is the house that we would always want to live in. Dear Pedro and family, thank you!

Difficult to park the car close by. We managed mostly at the end of the street. If you have a very small car you might be able to park it next to the house.

Wonderful places to stay with friendly owner who left a welcome basket with tasteful things. We loved the garden. Because of the wind and rain we did not use it often but there is enough place to sit. Two sunbeds and beautiful flowers. Wasmachine and dishwasher behind the kitchen. Big bedrooms with high beds. Cosy livingroom and lots of nice art on the wall. Walking distance to restaurants, small supermarket and postoffice. Big supermarket pingo when you drive into town. We enjoyed our stay here.

You need to rent a small car and be excellent at parking on the narrow street.

Streets in the old areas of the city are very narrow, but it is same situation in all old cities of course... Good thing is that local drivers drive wisely and co-operative way.

Very clean house, interior decoration was also very historical and nice. Big beautiful garden with barbeque facilities. Neighbours were kindly and gave instructions for car parking. Electrical heaters for bedrooms, washing machine and dishwasher were also nice features.

The house is perfectly located to explore the whole island. You can find comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, a cozy eating and living area with an open fireplace and last but not least a beautiful garden. Our host Duarte was english speaking and was waiting for us upon arrival. it was a warm welcome, the hosts even provided a foid basket, some coffee capsulas and washing equipment free of charge. diswasher and washing maschine are available. all together, it was a really nice stay and we did not really want to leave.

No Air conditioning, so on warmer nights it was harder to sleep. Not a lot of storage space to unpack into, most drawers were filled.

The owners thought of everything. the house was beyond fully equipped, it felt like home. Garden is beautifully maintained, house is as well.

The parking was a little challenging for us who are not used to narrow streets.

Nice apartment in a lovely town - Vila Franca is a very charming place to stay: beautiful views, quiet streets and convenient for other attractions on the island. The hosts were very friendly. The place was clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The backyard was very large and a pleasant place to spend time in.

Easy communication with the host and smooth pick up of the keys. Well equiped kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable beds and blankets. Nice garden with a terrace and a garden grill. Very nice atmosphere of the house and the whole place. Welcome basket with regional products was a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this accomodation.

The road outside leads to a viewpoint so can be busy, and even with a small rental car we couldn’t park on the property but there was parking across the street.

Duarte and his wife were awesome hosts. We arrived with our young baby and they provided a baby seat, play mat, baby bath, and toys for him (as well as the usual crib!). This made a huge difference for us compared to all our other rentals. The garden is lovely and it’s just a shame we couldn’t make the most of it with the rain. They have thought of everything and provide dark towels for the hot springs, and umbrellas for the rain. The kitchen is well equipped.
