Sadly the beach across the road was being de-stoned in readiness for the summer months and it was very noisy and disturbing throughout the whole week. We were unable to really relax and enjoy the balcony which should have been a quiet and peaceful space. Obviously this was not a direct fault of the hotel as it was a public renovation. We experienced the same two years previously in May 2022 when we stayed at the same hotel for a family wedding. We had loved the hotel then which, despite the noise, we chose to return.

The manageress and all the staff, on reception as well as in the restaurant plus the cleaners were very helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was always fresh and especially liked the Show cooking omelletes were always welcome! The staff were very efficient when cleaning the tables for breakfast very keen. The reception staff were very helpful, the room was huge and so comfortable balcony was well used,lovely view would stay again and recommend this hotel!

The steam room floor needed a clean and the dry sauna was not working and needs repair. Lawn mowing at 9am when 10am would be better.

Great breakfast, nice aspect with open doors facing the beach, closeness to everything in the old town, having a roof top terrace and a pool for a swim, lovely fresh flowers in the lobby, very helpful staff with good english and loads of patience. Good all round ambiance and amenity.

Friendly staff, clean and cosy sea view room. The indoor swimming pool and sauna facilities were clean and available to use - which I did! Bar staff was friendly. Dinner and breakfast buffet were solid nice meal options, great quality for value.

Fantastic location, great selection & quality at breakfast. Convenient parking under the hotel. Friendly staff. Good size rooms & bathrooms with large walk in shower. Lovely roof terrace overlooking the bay, as do the rooms.

The location was amazing. Steps away from the beach. One of my favorite stays in Madeira. The man working a super early shift on the day I left for the airport did an excellent job of getting me a taxi last minute and was incredibly helpful

Some receptionists seem a bit rude and not professional.

Location is amazing! Right at the beach, where you can admire beautiful sunset. Rooms are big and bathroom is decently clean. Breakfast has a good variety of choice, coffee is not drinkable (you can order better one from the bar, but costs extra)

It was hard to navigate to the hotel in ponta do sol using google maps. Use road signs not a navigation.

The view from room is amazing. Great variety of food on breakfast, spacious and clean room, good spa area with swimming pool and sauna. Free parking in tonnel.

A kettle, cups and sachets in the room would be a great convenience. Also put spa robes and slippers for going to swimming pool in room.

Perfect location with a beautiful view, large rooms, comfortable beds, very clean. A quiet neighborhood. Tasty breakfast but almost every day the same. You can order pancakes or an omelette with toppings. The hotel has a small gym, an indoor swimming pool and sauna, and a terrace on the top for sunbathing. Friendly and helpful staff. You could leave your car in the underground car-park for free. The evening with Madeira dances was very nice. There are bars and restaurants around the corner.

Some wait staff spend too much time chatting/doing little. Some long hairs (not ours) in bathroom. Noise from nearby club.

Location. Comfortable bed. Size of room. Excellent buffet breakfast. Nice heated pool. We really like it here and it’s our third time of staying. Had free upgrade to room with a balcony having only booked sea view. Great swimming in the sea just across the road.

Enotel, if you have not heard of them, is a well-established chain of hotels and resorts in Madeira. Enotel Sunset Bay is located right on the seafront at Ponta do Sol with restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The hotel consists of several 'buildings' or rather facades, so I was surprised when I walked in to see a huge lobby. There is also a heated indoor pool next to the reception. For an overnight stay on the 10. January, I was given a room with a great balcony overlooking the sea. The room has 2 huge beds, the decor, bathroom, cleanliness, and size all exceeded my expectations. The breakfast is excellent, and we are spoilt for choice. I especially recommend the receptionists who were very friendly and helpful with tips. After a 30km walk from Funchal - it made such a difference to have such friendly personnel and a nice hotel room!

The floor was not very clean, dust on the furniture. Playing on the pool table costs 6 EUR/ hour, it should be free.
