If you are unfit or have small children the steps the apartment is located upon may cause some difficulty.

The apartment was lovely and in a great location for exploring the old town of Lisbon. We loved how modern it was in an old building, it had everything we needed. The outdoor area was a lovely shared space. The lemon tree in the garden was beautiful. Close to bakery for those pastel de natas, supermarket and traditional restaurants.

We didn't like: - the glass partition between the stairs and the appartment, the net curtains don't give enough privacy (on two occasions, a person came upstairs while we were in). Opaque curtains, that we could choose to close or not, would solve the problem. - the large sliding door that closes either the bathroom or the bedroom.

The location is absolutely brilliant , perfect if you look for authenticity, history and the Portuguese "vibe". Loved the fact we were a few minutes from the castle and we could see its gardens from our small terrace. The view over the bay is also worth it, beautiful. The appartment is big and very clean.

The sliding door is not very comfortable. Difficult to move, with that little handle, so we left it half open and did not move it. Not major problems: there is only one plug in the kitchen, always had to pull out the toaster/kettle. The dining table is stained, the paint comes off the back of the chairs, no broom, dirty windows. The bedroom window can hardly be opened.

Excellent location. Silent and safe area. Easy to find. We received all the information about the steps. Very good and fast communication via whatsapp. Easy to check in. The free Elevador Castelo made getting home from the city centre much easier. We loved to eat on the terrace. We would like to stay here next time too.

Electrics were a problem in the bedroom and the apartment overall needed some updating and tlc. The coffee making equipment was rather dated and all in all the kitchen area was quite small.

Shower was slow to drain and I would have liked to have tidied this before leaving

The apartment was converted from an old building which had lots of charm through its original features. Comfy beds, kitchen perfect for us to make breakfast and snacks. Location is central and quiet location. Supermarket close by and that’s when you discover you don’t have to climb up the steps to the apartment and can use the castle elevator 😂 (but you should just to work off the custard tarts you’ve eaten 😂😂😂) Marco gave us a recommendation for a local beach we caught a train to and kids enjoyed it and there are so many restaurants and a nice pasteria close by.

Wherever you get dropped off by a cab you either have to go up or down about 70 steps to get to the property with your luggage. It is in the middle of a long set of steps. You have to contact staff to meet you when you get to the property as there is no staff on site.

The size of the room was a lot better than a motel room. Nice little courtyard.

I should have checked more re the area. You cannot drive to the property. It is accessed via steps (120 !) after climbing up the very steep hill from the city 😬 We were then confronted with another 42 steps inside the property to reach our apartment 🤐 the last 10, you are literally on your hands and knees such is the gradient of the spiral staircase. Don’t get me wrong, 20/30 years ago this wouldn’t have been an issue but I’m registered disabled & crikey it was a huge effort every time to return to the apartment. It was a shame as we did love the apartment itself.

The apartment is lovely. Very spacious, extremely comfortable seating area. Well appointed kitchen with everything you could need if eating there. (We ate out) Loved the clever use of the bedroom/bathroom wall 😀 Lovely view from the balcony, overlooking the city across to the 25th April Bridge, especially at night !

We were at the last floor with the rooftop terrace and there were glass walls, instead of normal walls. you can see the stairs that lead to the apartment and it’s really weird. I don’t get why they didn’t put dark curtains so it’s more private and you feel safer. If you are paranoid and always afraid of someone getting in your apartment while travelling, I don’t recommend the apartment on the last floor.

As soon as you walk in the apartment, you can see and smell damp. Unfortunately it left a very unpleasant memory from our stay. And you couldn't leave the windows open when you left the apartment, due to its location. Also, the damp is spread in the cupboard part, so we didn't leave any clothes there, and kept them in our suitcase throughout the stay. We didn't watch TV, nor intended to, but if we wanted to I'd be a difficult endeavor. It's positioned so it's looking straight at the kitchen part of the room, quite weird, as it's not really visible either from the bed or couch. Occasionally there was also noise coming from above, the thin ceiling was vibrating every time someone walked above. Thankfully this didn't occur often, but when it did it was quite noisy in the room.

The location is very nice, you're in old town, close to the river, close to various transports as well, it's a good place to use both as a hub and to roam around in. We didn't meet any hosts, but they sent extensive instructions and we could get by fine by ourselves. Good communication. The Studio apartment is all right as a base, it's spacious, has the usual facilities, equipped kitchen, etc.

The steps up to it were a little bit steep when you had to carry luggage. Also it would have been fantastic if we could have stored our luggage there on our day of departure as we had a late flight.

Loved the location, very central to all attractions as well as restaurants and cafés. The apartment itself was lovely, and to be able to sit in the courtyard especially in the evenings was fabulous.

It is a bit hard to find- it’s not clear that it is at the top of the steps, so our Taxi dropped us in the wrong place.

The apartment is very well located for sightseeing - it is within walking distance of almost everything. The bed is comfortable, and having an outside area with a bit of a view is a bonus.

You can charge for early check in but not for late check in unless its very late after midnight.

Location awesome but had to climb a long flight of stairs. Later came to know about the lift . To reach property kindly give clear directions that the approach should be close to the Cafe Chipota and not the other way round as its easier to get down the steps than climb up with luggage .

Due to the hilly nature of Lisbon, there were a lot of steps in both directions from the property. It was OK for us as we had small bags and were very agile but for people with bigger bags and are less agile then it wouldn't be easy to access.

I enjoyed the very central location of the property - it was easy walking distance to most of the central places of interest. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

A warning should maybe have been given of the very steep access to the building. Not ideal if you have joint problems re Hips/knees etc, Also no vehicle access possible so our taxi could not find it or drop us off outside.

No lock on bathroom door and no mirrors in bedrooms which is needed to do hair and makeup. Had issue with shower in ensuite which resulted in us not being able to use but thankfully towards end of stay. Despite this enjoyed our stay.

No air con. Shower didn’t work properly - stuck on rain (which was lovely) but the other was seized so if you didn’t want to wash your hair a pain. Wanted to check in 45mins early, made to pay the €15 - has to be in cash which we didn’t carry so had to make trip for withdrawal. Bit annoyed as really unnecessary to meet & greet - I know how to open and lock doors, could have just had safe key box and welcome pack. Door knob (push/pull open/close) broken. Ants getting in somehow so had to watch any crumbs - and I mean any crumbs!

The apartment has an odd bedroom/bathroom layout with not enough shelf space in the bathroom. The worst bit however was the glass wall which meant if anyone wanted to come up the stairs then you only have a net curtain protecting your privacy. The door to the apartment was not very secure either. Slightly shabby decoration too. All of these point did not detract from our stay, we enjoyed it but would expect more for c€180 per night.

the intimacy is not really possible as the door closing the room is the same than the bathroom that get the toilets ... Light appartment which is goof but no curtains in the entrance which is then complicated for the morning .....

Very well localisation appartment good for a couple host is very nice and efficient we had a balcony : very goof for breakfast and have a drink supermarket just nearby
