There is no cleaning during weekends. The sink in the upper bathroom was a bit damaged and water was drained slowly. The kitchen could be equipped with a couple of bags of tea, coffee, and sugar - at least some starting set for guests.

Nice stay with a fireplace - location is a bit remote, getting there by other way than Taxi or rented car can be difficult. Apartment is clean, cosy. Neighborhood green and calm. You can walk to "town city" to but or eat something (5 minutes walk). Remember that temperature there can be 4-5 degrees lower than in Funchal. Very nice lady in the reception.

We absolutely enjoyed staying here. Warm welcome, nicely decorated and comfortably furnished house with a private patio and sun beds. It’s great location, too! Sunday market is a must and Levada to Riberio Frio starting at the end of the village is truly beautiful. Comfortable beds, soft pillows and linens, bath and working fire place - can’t go wrong. The garden itself was very nice and well maintained.

There is not much to do around there and the town itself looks a bit forgotten.

The most comfortable and huge bed on our entire travel. The receptionist was extremely friendly and everything was clean. Kitchen is a bit dated but the style of the house is really nice. The most silent night we had in the middle of the nature. Would recommend if you want to get a good rest away of everything.

This place is a oasis of peace and silence in the heart of Madeira. Full of flowers and blooming trees. The only sound is the sound of the lovely birds! We had an 2 floored apartment with a fireplace and everything you need for a longer stay. We loved our stay and can recommend it

What a great place! The little house/appartment was beautiful, with good beds, a bath & a fireplace. Big garden, with lots of flowers, birds and butterflies. I also liked the village, small, and good combi of locals & some tourists. When you book early, very good value!

It's only a small thing, important if staying with young children, is consideration for a central clothes washing facility in future, would be handy. That's it really, no other negatives for us.

The location, with its quiet and green surroundings (perfect for a family break) and the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff.

We were here in March and the place was bit humid.

Very nice accommodation with an easy access to several interesting places. House is spacious and you have there everything you need. It is higher so be ready it is more cold than seaside. There is nice fireplace. We used it every day during our stay. Plan your stay for Sunday so you dont miss village´s Sunday market. It is worthwhile and much better than the one in Funchal.

Nothing- it was all as expected and lovely!

This was such a charming apartment! The grounds were beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, and having both a huge bathtub and a fireplace was super on a cold and misty night. The owners were wonderful and gave us a great recommendation for dinner in the village. The village is tiny but there is a stall not far from the hotel gates where you can get fresh bolo da coca bread every day - the man who makes it there is a lovely gent. We really loved our stay here and would come again. It was also great that within 15 minutes we were down the mountainside and at the airport checking in. Bonus!

The shower was a bit obsolete, it was a bit hard to control the temperature of the water.

The room was very spacious, the bed was huge and comfortable. In our experience, sometimes there is an issue with non-hotel accommodations being quite cold but here they turned on the hearing every afternoon and there was a fireplace in our room which made it bearable. Staff was very kind. The location is very peaceful and quiet.

The Kitchen was a bit small and dated. But all was working, so just a minor point.

The large bed was very comfortable. The central heating was working very good, we always had it warm. And in addition to that there was also a fireplace. This all together was perfect, because it compensated for the weather ;) Location is also perfect for visiting both mountains and Coast. To Pico arieiro its less than 30 minutes, to Ponta de Sao lourenco even less.
