    Nothing.

The owner is a delight, does not speak a word of English, but we had absolutely no trouble in communicating with her.

Very nice accomodation in the city centre, they have limited parking space but could park very close by on the street for free too. Super friendly and helpful staff.

The stairs at front of property, only because we arrived in pouring rain

We arrived on a very cold, rainy night but once we had checked in with our hostess, the room was very warm and cosy, a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The breakfast the next morning was lovely, the hostess even offered some homemade treats. Great stay, even had a great dinner in a wine bar on the main cathedral square

The lady who greeted us, showed us to our room and was present at breakfast was delightful! Had it not been for the dreadful weather, I feel sure we would have felt even more positive. The restaurant recommended - just opposte the hotel ("Nobre") was our bext dinner of the whole week .

    Nothing.

Wonderful house in the centre of Guarda. Super friendly owner. Extremely clean, very comfortable bed and great modern style shower and bathroom. Parking directly outside the property, tricky if you have a low ground clearance car, but otherwise very convenient. Great location, with bars, restaurants and coffee shops within metres.

Perhaps the only thing to improve is to have the breakfast a bit earlier. When I went there, it started at 9am.

It is a great place to stay, with a historic charm that gives something special to the room and your stay. The staff is exceptional in taking care of their guests, going the extra mile to provide an excellent experience.

    I liked everything about it.

Located centrally near everything to see. A very nicely preserved building and decorated well to the period of its time. The owner greeted us personally and explained all the details of the building. Parking is available.

The breakfast although home made was a bit poor. Only coffee, bread, cake, cheese /ham and jelly/jam/butter. I missed fresh fruit and eggs.

The building is very beautiful and it is very well conserved. The rooms are very well decorated in old style with antiques. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom fantastic. The staff is very pleasant and we felt very welcomed

Wonderfully comfortable historic manor house in charming Guarda

The only let-down was the breakfast. It was just bread, toast, sliced cheese and ham, and some preserves. There were no eggs and no fresh fruit or vegetables. While perfectly filling, it wasn't really a great breakfast for the money.

A wonderful historic manor house in the centre of a truly charming little city. I got the impression that they don't get many tourists, which is a real shame! The rooms were elegant and exceptionally comfortable. With thick stone walls and heavy wooden shutters on the windows, it was perfectly dark and quiet for sleeping. Despite the antique furniture, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally cheerful, despite the language barrier.

Friendly welcome by a very nice lady, who doesn't know English and still managed to communicate with us, give us all needed explanations and make our stay a most pleasant experience. Her daughter (I guess) joined us a bit later and was very helpful, and her little grandchild gave us two bottles of mineral water, the three of them with a big smile and making you feel at home. Perfect location, just behind the cathedral of Guarda, in the center of the town. The 17th-century house itself is a piece of history, and you are almost ashamed to "spoil" the courtyard with your car (free parking, always an important plus). Inside, you walk like in a museum. Nice and very clean room. Very good breakfast, served in the neighbouring bar, property of the same family. Don't miss it!

    Nothing.

The location was amazing, set in the heart of historical Guarda, it was close to great restaurants and bars (I strongly recommend Bago e Bago - an amazing little wine bar just down the road). Elena, the lady that runs it, was incredibly welcoming, and despite not knowing any English, managed to communicate all the necessary information for our stay. She was a highlight of the stay. The breakfast is generous and delicious. We only spent one night there, but were made to feel incredibly welcome, and will be back again.
