  • Hotel Kvika Review score: 10

“When we arrived, we got great and valuable information about the surrounding area and Reykjavik with many tips what to visit. It was a very warm welcome! This fit extremely well to the cozy hotel with lots of beautiful corners to relax and a nice hot tub. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water as well as fruits and cookies were always available for free. The breakfast was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer.”

  • Vík Cottages Review score: 8

“We stayed in 5 properties on our 8 day stay, this was the most expensive per night and the most disappointing. I want to make clear that it was immaculate and very comfortable. It's in a great position for the beach and 'town'. The disappointment came from the fact that it's called Vik Cottages and it's just a small hotel room. You look at the picture of the cottage and think that you're getting the whole cottage but you are just in half of it, it was basically a carbon copy of the hotel room we stayed in the day before but smaller. We were only staying one night and didn't need to unpack much, but if you were to stay a few days with a friend, it would be a tight squeeze. The soundproofing between the other half of the cottage is not good, you can hear talking going on and the you can definitely hear all of the showering next door etc. If your neighbours were noisy it would be problematic.”

  • “Great location with moutains as the backdrop and opening up to a vast field with sheeps. Scenic :) Good options for breakfast buffet and the lady with the curly hair is super friendly. Their home made banana bread and spiced bread were very delicious. Coffee machine is 24x7 available. They have a warm and cozy lounge to hang out. Easy check-in and comfortable bed too. Perfect accomodation when one wants to explore the south of Iceland! Very close to Skogafoss and Seljalandfoss. Will stay again:)”

“Location is very good and near the bonus market”

  • “We absolutely loved our one night stay. Staff was courteous, they helped even to dry out very wet clothes and shoes and jacket in boiler room (we did glacier hike in poor weather)…. Breakfast is great especially the option of waffles. Room was nice, comfortable beds.”
