How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Clasic House Sighisoara is closed to the railway station and just 10 minutes by walk from the center. The room was nice and clean.

Nothing, only sorry we could only spend 1 day there… would have loved to spend more
Everything. It is just as beautiful as the pictures. Our room was spacious, comfortable and felt very “grand” The property is historically very old but in excellent condition with its “old feel” meticulously maintained. The bathrooms have been totally updated which ,to us , was a perfect mix of old and new. All the built in furniture is original to the property..wow just loved it. The breakfast room ..a beautifully converted cellar ..was wonderful as was the breakfast. The staff were all so friendly and helpful The location was good. Short walk to the old town and just across the street from Lidl. Also loved the free parking at the property

Easy to find and check in. Secure free parking. A pleasant garden with swimming pool. It was in a quiet location on the other side of the river but still an easy walk into the centre. The hotel is an old building that has been skilfully restored and made a very comfortable stay for us. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee.

Excellent location, quiet. Private parking in the yard. Kind and very helpful hostess. A spacious and well-equipped room. Excellent breakfast. One of the most amazing houses we have stayed in. Designed as a museum. The staff and owner provide service above and beyond. We really enjoyed ourselves, highly recommend.

The breakfast restaurant opens at 8am which can be a bit late if you're planning to leave early (like us).
Very nice decor throughout and our room was lovely, clean and spacious. The lady at the reception was very friendly and polite, and overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Nothing , everything was more than good .
The property was out best choice . It is maintained in details and has 100% identity of a classic building . We got so amazed by the basement the place where the breakers is served .

Nothing really, everything was great.
Clean and very nice rooms, everything was really comfortable. Close to the citadel(about 5-7 min walk), which means that it was very quiet and it is across a supermarket, which was a big plus.

If I really need to find a minus you can hear the traffic from the room but that’s a trade off of the central location
Beautiful boutique hotel repurposed from a 100 year old building near the center of Sighișoara with private parking and an amazing buffet breakfast. Friendly staff and owner who made us feel welcome.

Nothing bad to report. Good location to walk to the old city, with a big market right across the street.
Absolutely beautiful rooms, and the staff (especially Sutru, who checked us in) was first rate. Sutru was truly one of the most friendly & happy people I have met in my travels. The hotel had been a private residence and has only been open as a hotel for about a year. All new fixtures & furniture, and a pool table for extra fun. The owner was friendly & explained the transition from residence to hotel in detail. This hotel is a real gem.
