The price for this room was 1198 lei on booking.com (with discount), but I was charged for 1410 Lei. That means about 40 euro more. At the hotel reception they told me that many people that booked the room trough booking.com had the same problem, but is an issue that can be fixed only by booking.com. I have contacted them and a guy Muhammad R told me that they will verify and contact me back. After a week nothing happened.

The elevator does not go all the way up, stops at the 3rd floor. For the “attic”, where we stayed, you need to go on an extra flight of stairs. The staff were not the friendliest, I.e welcoming or tactful. surely it does not apply to all as some of them were impeccable. some lacked a service minded attitude. this could be corrected with proper training.

The location was exceptional and it makes for an amazing gateway for somebody that wants to enjoy Vama Veche in style.

We came at the hotel in May, so it was not during season, but still there we're customers there. For the price we have paid for the room with breakfast included we had higher expectations for the breakfast which was quite poor and with only one waiter serving everyone.

The hotel has a great location, right at the beach, very close to the bars and places to eat in Vama Veche. The hotel and also the rooms are very clean and some of the staff very friendly.

-Furniture condition, unacceptable for a 4 star hotel (see attached photos); -Mold in the fridge (covered with mold); -Mold and bad smell in the bathroom; -Stained pillow covers; -Burnt rug (also dirty/stained); -No sound proof in between the rooms (only from outside noise); -Reception staff attitude (i told them we were unable to sleep because there was no sound proofing - they answered with a bad tone saying the hotel is soundproofed and i am wrong); -Breafkast was low cost and bad (they also refused to open umbrellas on a very hot day saying it’s a little windy); -The espresso machine was clogged with condensed milk (had to clean the drooping condensed milk myself); -Shower stand was broken; -We put “please make up the room” card on the door (we were still preparing to leave the room when the cleaning crew was on our floor and put “dnd” sign until we left 1 h later). They didn t come back to clean the room. Overall, the room was not cleaned in 4 days at all. I went myself to the cleaning ladies (which were nice) with the dirty towels to get new ones; -We had to go back to the hotel reception to ask for someone to bring us sunchairs on the hotel “private beach”; -The room was poorly illuminated (only 2 weak spots near the window and 2 in the hallway. Also 2 lamps on the wall near the bed, but they didn t add any light). Basically, in the night the room was very dark even with all the “lights” on. I might of left some stuff out of this list. Overall, it was a bad experience, definitely not a 4 star worthy hotel. At best i would give this hotel 2-3 stars. Do not get fooled by the outside appearance of the hotel, the rooms are very bad and the quality of the services is extremely low. I mention i payed 650 Ron/night (132 euros/night) on a double room (in june 2022).
