Just be aware of what to expect: it's a cheap accommodation. You're gonna be sleeping in a sort of garage/shared room with bunk beds. It's good if you're on a budget but don't expect luxury for the price you pay.

Check in was easy and communication was quick

The hostel seemed closed, as in shut down, and the phone was out of order. I had to make alternative accommodation arrangements at the last minute. I wrote to Booking.com for a refund but heard nothing from them yet

An extention of a bad stay.

Now, I already have reviewed this place. I needed to book an extra night due to me going to Tulcea solely to get a boat tour, and I couldn't get one until the following day. But the hostel owner wouldn't provide a discount or anything for this extra night.

The only good thing was that I was able to book an extra night meaning I didn't have to find anywhere else, which there seems no budget-friendly options in the whole city.

The self-service-checkout of the hostelling world.

I would describe this like the hostel equivalent of a self-service checkout. It is a bit of a fraud to call it a hostel. In order to get into the room, you must open a locked gate. But this was very hard to figure out when I arrived at night, because it was very dark, and the taxi driver couldn't find it to begin with, and stayed with me as I tried to get in, and I was charged waiting time! There is no staff, and when I knocked on the building adjacent, no answer. This is not good value for money, due to no staffing costs. Sure, 1 night should cost a set amount, but each night onward should be cheaper, as the cost of changing sheets ect cost the same for 1 night as it would for 2 or 3. The bathroom is separate so you have to go outside. If you need in the middle of the night, it can be a bit cold. The area is not really that good. On one hand, it's near to the riverside and the monument, but it's in a scruffy backroad near industry, and lots of vehicles go past at all hours. The curtain doesn't keep the light out. The plug sockets are not near the bed. I saw on the fire escape information (photo enclosed) that there is a bar, but I never found it (then again it would have no staff). To add insult to injury, the bins were not empty on arrival and the one in the bedroom was full to the brim by the time I finished my time there due to it being mostly full to begin with.

The room itself was quite clean. The beds were good. The location was fairly good, due to it being near the riverside (a moderately short walk) and the monument. A couple of mini-market style shops are in the area, for snacks and drinks. At least everything worked, nothing was broken.

Not recommended despite the low price

There was a bad smell in the room, so it was impossible to stay overnight. The room is also hot and humid. I left this place after a few hours despite I payed for couple of days. There is also a privacy problem because the big windows face the main street and also a lot of mosquitoes in the room because the netting on the large front door is quite worn. I would not recommend this place, not even for one night.
