Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe smaller outbuildings had rather narrow steps that would not be good for anyone with arthritis or access problems.
This was a very pleasant stay in a lovely location. We originally had a room that was apart from the main house and up a stairway. The host upgraded us to a large room in the main house when the drain in the smaller facility was not working properly. Very friendly and helpful service. Even the family pets were nice and the garden setting was beautiful.

UkraineThere was absolutely no sound isolation in the room, so everything being heard in the hall. Cleaning could be done better. Some room appliances require renovation.
The location is great, close to the town center. The hotel is really quiet and spacious place, has big nice green on a hill. Breakfast we had was reach and tasty. Coffee and tea were also good.

United KingdomThe owner is a bit direct, might offend some!
The treehouse is very peaceful, lovely to wakeup to views of the treeline. Very quiet (apart from church singing in the morning and dog barking at night... but that's Romania!). All in all a very restful stay.

PolandOur room was on the first floor under the roof, so it lacked fresh air in the evening, but not dramatically.
The location is perfect, close to the landmarks in the city centre as well as to the castle. If you travel by bus, it's a less than 10-minute walk from the station; and less than a 5-minute one from the bus stop to get to/from the Suceava train station. The property is very clean and has a true "pension" feel. The owner was very nice with us.

RomaniaUnfortunately vis a vis of the hotel there is a gypsy family, and they are action like a genuine one (washing carpets in the middle of the street), but never felt in danger. The small alley that goes to the citadel, if super dirty, but this not the fault of the hotel owners. The room was small, and bathroom cleanness was not super great. The shower draining is not working very good The bed mattress was super flafy and not very comfy , i thing they need to change them.
The location is great to visit the old citadel and city center. Garden of the pension is super nice and the pension building super nice restored. Host is super ok

RomaniaI would recommend the property to clearly state its not recommended for small children. A few improvements needed: 1. the deck of the treehouse needed a coat a fresh paint - in the state we found it, we had to be careful our toddler isnt eating paint chips. the hammock provided was also filthy. 2. the ‘extra bed’ provided on request was a very old pull-out armchair that was painfull to sleep on 3. the shower drain was so clogged you couldnt take a shower. after 1 minute of having the water on, I had to stop it and wait for it to drain and it was a growse experience as I dont like the idea of sitting in whatever mess the drain was clogged with. 4. the garden/yard downstairs was unkept. the grass wasnt cut, it was crawling with slugs and under there was an area with metal scraps and bars so it wasnt safe for our toddler.
We came here for the experience of living in a treehouse for a couple of days but maybe our expectations were too high. The garden that leads to the houses is nice and the stay would be appropriate for a couple. I liked that the room has a wall of windows and natural light can pour in. its also eqquiped with an AC, mini fridge and TV and you can sit on the deck and enjoy the view.

United KingdomQuite a lot of dogs barking at night. But they live outside in Romania and come out to socialise at night it seems. I always take ear plugs with me so I slept soundly. 😊 You can also hear bells and singing from the local church, but I found that very pleasant.
It was a lovely spacious room with walk in wardrobe and ensuite shower room, over looking the old fort. There is a nice living r oom area for guests to share and also a balcony to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Breakfast was fresh and tasty (tomato, cucumber, meats, cheeses & eggs, bread etc) and a great start to the day. An easy walking route to the Fort is left out of the front door then immediate left down the path at the side of the house.

Owner of the hotel was very attentive, friendly and helpful staff, hotel was very clean, location superb- just off of the main road but very close to shops, restaurants, bus stops. Hotel has a big garden and believe in sumner it is beautiful. Despite there wasn’t breakfast included we were allowed to use kitchen with all facilities. Pizzeria and McDonalds is about 5 min up the road and little bit further up lovely restaurant Latino. Few more eateries and supermarket nearby.
