Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaFirst of all, the hotel is not 5 star! It is quite shabby and needs a lot of renovation. Cracks in the walls (in the room), wet spots etc - all the signs of the lack of renovations are present! Presume, that for the moment 5 star status is pretty much unacceptable to apply. The overall look of the hotel gets us back to Sovjet times. Especially - and this is my BIG question to the hotel - WHY YOU KEEP THE VERY UNFRIENDLY GUARD AT THE ENTRANCE FOR 24 HOURS? Who is always watching every step you make in the lobby so suspiciously, like you are visiting the secured secret NATO object? This would really prevent me from choosing this hotel next time I'm in the city. This is completely ridiculous! We are living in a civilised world, come on! This is a real and huge shame from your side, to be honest! One more things - please do something with the pillows, they are desperately uncomfortable!
Overall the hotel was chosen as one of the three 5 star hotel option in Kazan and this was the first time to visit the city. The hotel made more or less good impression with its drawbacks however. The room (deluxe king-size bed room) was really big and comfortable. Sufficient number of towels. Very big bed. good working conditioning/heating system in the room. A lot of toilet stuff like shower gels, dental kits etc. Full mini-bar (first time I finally get it since the COVID began). Quite nice and comfortable bathroom. Very nice breakfast - full of choice of any kind, where you can find everything you want (also for those who, like me, do not eat sugar, pastry, gluten etc). Nice location if using the taxi, however in the walking distance from the Kremlin). Overall nice.

TurkeyWe were a group of three and booked a taxi from the hotel the night before the day of departure. On the day of departure at 4am we were told that they could not find a big car so we were offered two taxis ( 1 for passengers and 1 for luggages). We could manage to persuade the driver that 1 taxi would be enough but we had to pay more than the amount we were told while booking. But in the end all was ok.
The best packed breakfast I have ever had. On the day of check out I had to leave very early in the morning so I asked for a packed breakfast. I was served a mealbox containing a variety of pastries, fruit and sandwiches. The view of Kazan Kremlin from the room was absolutely amazing. I had no problems while checking in/out. Wi-fi was ok everywhere in the hotel except for the restaurant that is on the first floor. Though, Bauman street (which is a main shopping street with restaurants, cafès etc.) is at a walking distance, the area where the hotel is located is a little quiet. There's a shopping mall accross the street where you can also buy some snacks.

United Stateslets start with the wifi that only worked 1 of the 5 days i stayed there and i needed it to work the full 5. they kept telling me they were re-setting it and so on and gave me a cable to plug into the wall which didn't help at all, all in all just a bad experience. the restaurant they have in the hotel which is called Milli is not good at all i would tell you of my experience but there is not enough room. Lets just say they try too hard to be fancy and they cannot even get the food to taste good. The "Free" breakfast i was supposed to receive, no one from the front desk staff told me how to obtain it so i went to a local restaurant every morning and had a good breakfast there. the price for the rooms is way overpriced. they charge like your getting a room in the trump tower add to that the lack of wifi and horrible restaurant food and the value is atrocious, i will not stay here ever again. The front desk does not inform the client(or at least in my case) of such things as where to eat the breakfast they are supposed to give you or another information that you may need to know while in their city. they seem only interested in telling you how much your paying and making sure they collect that money before anything else. there is an extreme lack of friendliness or warmth towards the client at the front desk. You have to pull even the smallest detail from them, and when something goes wrong like the internet or the horrible meal in Milli which i ate about 10% of or the "free" breakfast never being offered there is no compensation back to the client. i'm used to being treated well when i visit places that tout themselves as a 5 star hotel(and charge the 5 star price) as the mirage does.
room was comfortable, the location was excellent the cleaning staff was fantastic and the view of the kremlin from my room was great
