The only issue was with the wi-fi signal (almost non-existent), but once we found the strongest signal spot in house and put the router there, there was some okeish internet. But do not expect the speed one gets used to in big cities. Also mobile connection is at lowest point here which is understandable given the forest on the hills and very small population in the area. But Sweden vacation is about connecting with nature, not about keeping on running in the everyday stress mode ;)

It is indeed a huge house with tons of things preserved from the good old days - that rural idyllic Sweden many are so found of. It is a pity that the farming part of this location is long a history, but one can vividly imagine how it used to be. It is a very conveniently located property in the heart of Smaland region. You are basically in the middle of the forest (with quietness from man-made noises, with birds, berries, herbs and all the gifts of nature you can pick up and eat/cook/spice up your food), but can easily reach a real farm in Stubbhult and the similar small "hults" nearby easily by feet (even with younger kids (say 4-5 y.o.). There is a lake with convenient entry into the water where we swam within 1 km from the property. You won't meet other people often. It was easy to make daily trips to Vimmerby, Vaestervik, Eksjo, etc with the car. Car is a must here. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped to even cook pies (which I did). The host lady with whom we spoke on the phone and through emails made a really nice impression.
