How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was located in the basement, and it was completely different from the pictures. Because the windows were at the street level and the sound was not completely isolated, I could listen people walking. During the night it was calm though. At the time of the check in I tried to change rooms but that was not possible. The receptionist offered me ear plugs. I also didn’t feel comfortable to open the curtains in the morning. I should have been informed at the time of the booking that the room was located in the basement and I could then have had the choice not to book it.

Hotel in the middle of the town, close to the river and the park. Nice room with very comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. Room was clean. We found a very good pizza place 3 minutes away. We traveld with our dog. There was a dogbed, a water and food bowl and extra goodies in the room.

way too expensive for this standard. small room, plastic floor and a shower curtain in the bathroom. no extras at all for over 1600 for a night

The first electronic key didn't function, shower curtain and in the parking garage is a nasty smell.
Clean room, good bed, close to the center, very rich breakfast buffet with fresh food.

The floor was quite slippy in the bathroom as it sloped, there were no safes for valuables in room, and the lift was hard to get in/out of with heavy luggage. I could not pay my extras at the end, therefore I had to pay additional bank charges each time I used my credit card - not ideal as a traveller! I got out cash, but that was not accepted either! There was only 1 teabag in my room, and no UHT milk so not ideal. Needs to be checked daily and replenished.
The breakfast was very good and well laid out. The location of the hotel was very useful for the Concert Hall. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Smallish rooms with minimal furniture, ugly ceiling lamps. My single room had a 90cm wide bed in it which was a bit annoying, should've been at least 100cm wide.
Very central location, easy check-in and check out, fantastic breakfast. Comfy bed, electric kettle and condiments. Well working wifi, latish check out 12pm. Great value for money!

Would have liked to stay longer - explore the gorgeous city park more and also try the quiche on the bar menu as it looked delicious, too.
So close to a large and lovely park to walk my dog after a long day’s drive. Also, the homemade lasagna on the bar menu is delicious- a welcome meal on a Sunday when we got in late and everything was closed. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Stayed there already for the 3rd time. Great service convenience and comfort. Central location of the hotel is very good for tourist and business visits. Good bar at the lobby. Thanks for the service!

Photo of a sauna on Booking.com - but no sauna in the hotel. Hotel informations show there is a price agreement for the night at the parking next door, but the hotel personnel told us otherwise eventually.
Great breakfast, hotel personnel is nice and helpful.

The smell coming from the shower trap was disgusting I had to keep a wet towel over it Rooms need total renovation Single beds are tiny Will not visit again
