Great breakfast. On-site restaurant very good. Great view over Rattvik, and very comfortable common areas to sit in. Very nice and comfortable hotel. I would definitely stay again.

the staff member after a long 5 hour drive. asked if I’d like to join the best western membership. I wasn’t to sure and continued to pay for the stay without anymore information. the second i paid the staff member rubbed it in my face that I would’ve got a 10% discount on my stay. I thought it was such an odd way to welcome someone after a 5 hour drive from Oslo.

The room rate is somewhat too high for the offered quality. The blankets are very thin.

The view over lake Siljan is marvelous when you have a room at the front side or when you are in the breakfast room. They have a nice terrace which overlooks the lake. Plenty of choice at the breakfast. Ample free parking space.

we though that the hotel and hotel room looked a bit plain & basic and not luxurious when it comes to furniture and atmosphere. i think with a bit more thought to it, it could make a really big difference! it already starts upon checking in: we came by car and it is more practical to enter the hotel not from the main entrance, but side entrance: you just walk in small hallway, to a plain lobby(…well, more like a broad hallway) and a plain (maybe even outdated) reception desk. however, we haven’t seen much more of the hotel, so maybe other parts are more modern & look fancy.

location is perfect. we had lake view, which was fantastic. enough parking space. clean. breakfast was great: we really likes that there was a lot to choose from and that we could eat breakfast until 10:30. friendly staff: very welcoming in the restaurant (each said hi when i passed by!)

Room had one light not working in the bathroom and the iron which wasn’t in the room but could be collected from another area was the cheapest and lightest I have ever seen. Also the relax area was under renovation but we still booked the sauna but this wasn’t mentioned, though to get to the sauna meant going through a door that said closed due to renovations.

Breakfast was pretty good but a coffee machine is a must in this day and age. Cappuccino or a latte in the morning is standard at a lot of hotels. Also having cold milk for cereal not everyone likes yogurt. And the only milk I found was by the coffee pots and it wasn’t cold. But apart from that breakfast was good.

There were some issues with sauna and jacuzzi but they were fixed in some way with the help of personnel.

The location is very good with the view of the lake Siljan from uphill e.g. when you have a breakfast of if you are lucky and got the room with the lake view :-) The choice of the meals for the breakfast is quite broad - anyone can find what one wants including fresh fruits! The hotel has jacuzzi, sauna, billiards, big restaurant. Overall, the hotel is good and nice. Stayed in July 2021.

The First night we were there was very warm. We couldn't sleep. We couldn't find any fan and The reception was already close. I think If there was any sign in the reception or in the room it would be easier.

The landscape from our room was fantastic. The parking place was very important. The reception people are great.

The room was a little outdated and the scrambled eggs seemed a bit odd, but other than that everything was great.

We really liked the the view from the restaurant and the bar. The staff was super helpful and friendly! Breakfast was tasty and the dinner at the restaurant was really good!

I would have liked more vegan and English labelled items at breakfast. As a vegan you won't go hungry but there wasn't much and everything was in Swedish. The room could have been cleaner. The place feels dated but it does the job

This is the best place if you want to attend an event at Dalhalla. The bus leaves directly from the hotel. Staff were nice.

I have only one problem.... and its not really a problem, as I'm sure most people dont arrive on foot, as we had to... due to the early time of our arrival. Its up a very long steep hill, and i have a physical disability.. it nearly killed me... but that all melted away when we eventually got to the top, and sat outside the hotel, waiting for reception to open ( we got there about 6am) because of the tranquility of the place, and the breathtaking views. Rattvik is a beautiful place, and this hotel is runby beautiful people!

The Staff upon our early arrival. CARIN, you are worth your weight in gold.... exceptional customer service, nothing was too much trouble, and couldnt do enough for us. Thank you Carin so much. I didnt really have the opportunity to see other staff, owing to the odd times of my stay, but im sure the whole team Is just as welcoming and proficient! Hotel beautiful..... location .. just stunning! Facilities incredible... hot tub overlooking the lake was fabulous. The breakfast deserves its own mention... sooooo much variety, all top quality food, cooked perfectly, my compliments to the kitchen staff, and the cleaning staff.. the place was spotless! Room sizeable and very comfortable. I wish i could live in this place! Such a positive experience thanks to Carin and the whole team! Well done guys... I stay in 17 -23 hotels all across europe and the eastern block each month,and this is my favourite of all! I will Definitely be back!!!

It was a little bit dusty in the room, especially under the bed. The drainage in the shower near the sauna was partially blocked.

The hotel overall was clean and cozy. Breakfast is really good and with rich sortiment (the scrambled eggs were especially delicious :-) ). The Easter lunch was really great with plenty of dishes one could choose from. The spa zone with jacuzzi and sauna is renowated since the last time we have been there and now it is new, clean and nice. The bed with its pillows was especially comfy. There is a TV in the room with several channels. But interestingly, we did not found a telephone (though we did not need it). The bathroom and shower were good, with plenty of different bottles for bathroom (shampoo, soap and others) :-) There are two free parking areas near the hotel. There is also not bad gym here. The reception lady was really nice and helpful. Due to her care we had fresh drinking water, candle lights and relaxing music in the spa area. Stayed at Easter (April) 2023

Absolutely outstanding in every way. The location, the staff, the facilities… you name it, this hotel exceeded all expectations. The breakfast was wonderful, with some of the best scrambled eggs we’ve had. I highly recommend this hotel!
