Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesBeing a basement in a very old building doesn’t led itself well to good smells or views, but it was a part of the quaint charm. Probably the most noticeable thing was the lack of aesthetic maintenance, like the broken bed frame and the torn photos on the wall, but that doesn’t impact your sleep.
The main lady we saw again and again was very kind and kept the breakfast open a little later than usual when we got a late start. The breakfast itself was wonderful if simple. The self check in was easy.

FinlandThe hotel is not accessible. There are long, narrow stairs leading down from the front door and there are also steps in the corridors, so I do not recommend it for people with reduced mobility or those who need strollers. Due to the basement location, the windows are higher than average at street level.
A small and comfortable hotel in the basement floor. The room was decorated with colorful, striking wallpapers and textiles. The breakfast room reminded me of a cozy basement restaurant. The breakfast was tasty and versatile, the location of the hotel was very good. Easy check in and out.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaWifi did not work properley afternoon. Size of the room is really small. The walls are thin. We coupd hear everything. Our room was next to bathroom so it was noisy during night. There is window but it is not possible to open it.
Locatlon is perfect. Close to metro station Mariatorget and bus stations. Breakfast is good. Communication with host was good.

BrazilSound proofing was not that good, it was possible to hear the street noises and people opening/locking the bathroom door.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable; the shared toilet was also kept clean. Good breakfast for the hotel standard. Metro station two blocks away with easy access to the city center and Globen.

The staff at this property were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately one of our bags did not make it on the flight and we were waiting for it to be delivered. The staff assisted by calling the property call centre to understand the Swedish language recording. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE ... sooooo much choice. Bus and trains very convenient. Enjoyed our stay.

The location is great as it’s not too far away from the town center. The room was as pictured, and the bed was comfortable. It also offers a rich breakfast and you can even use the common kitchen during off hours. It’s a great value for the price you pay.

SpainIf anything, shower and toilet right next to each other in the bathroom with no separation but the shower curtain so it is easy for the water to create a bit of a mess but we tried our best to wipe the floor afterwards
Very accommodating regarding our check in and check out process, amazing breakfast! Above and beyond our expectations, easy to connect to center. Left out things if you’re hungry after hours and that was nice since a lot of restaurants closed by the time we got back to the hotel.
