If you’re claustrophobic make sure that you have a room with a window. The room needed some renovations.

The location was perfect, it was right next to the Katong neighborhood as well as the Vietnamese and Malay neighborhood, there were a lot of coffee shops and restaurants. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming! Easy to access, multiple bus stops nearby.

Nothing to complain about.

Friendly, kind, very helpful staff at reception. It was great to receive such a warm welcome. Rooms are a tad small, but good enough considering it's Singapore and what you pay per night. You get what you pay for and it's perfect for transitting in Singapore on long hall flights. Bathroom very tiny but very space economical. Never had a shower just above the toilet, but the design is well thought of and it does not get overly wet.

Very compact bathroom plus toilet. Bedroom temperature stucked at 20.5C despite selecting 28C on the wall mounted controls. All guests consisting of couples or in a group should be advised to be mindful of noise level when chatting or laughing loudly from 11pm to 3am because there are other paying guests in adjacent or opposite room.

Clean room, comfortable bed, pillows and blanket. Complimentary coffee/tea bags, bottled water, shower gel, toothbrushes, shower cap, disposable slippers, electric jug, mini fridge and safe-deposit box.

I wanted to try a cheaper hotel than Katong V to see what it got us for our money. I must say I had to get use to the smallness of it.

I am satisfied with this hotel. The room is small but it has all I need for a short stay. It’s very clean and tidy, the staff are helpful and friendly. I actually booked the wrong hotel, the wrong dates and the wrong room, but everything was flexible and turned out well. I was mostly served by Alvin who let me view two other rooms before I found the right one. What the hotel room lacked in space, its location made up for. It is located in an area with interesting restaurants and shops. Moreover, at both ends of the street are food centres. At Dunman food centre, I had the most delicious vadai (Singapore Vadai). I would recommend this hotel to single travellers especially (because of the room size) but also couples who would be spending time outdoors most of the time and can return to a comfortable bed in the evening. Also suitable for families looking for a price-quality decent place to stay in a interesting area with a local flavour and great atmosphere.

I wish the room description had explained that this was an internal room with no windows. Considering our needs it worked, but it was a bit of a surprise.

Location is AMAZING! Joo Chiat is the best location to stay, and very close to the big tourist attractions like Marina Bay and Gardens By the Bay. The hotel itself is simple and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is a good value considering how expensive Singapore is.

The person who received us for check-in did not even greet us, and did not reply when I greeted as well and kept a very cold face till the end. The other staff whom we saw during the daytimes were very friendly.

The pictures are zoomed out, the rooms are extremely tiny, they could barely fit in one person, bad air quality, the shower is right above the toilet sit, and pay attention to the description “no window”

Just the location is little away from main spots

ROom size was average however the hotel staff was helpful and nice. I stayed close to 4 nights. MRT station is little far and there are no malls around to have food. However there is a 7 eleven store and some small restaurants to have food.

Decoration was quite dated and needed some repairs. Noise traveled through walls. Thankfully there wasn’t a lot of noise in the corridors.

There is no separate shower stall in the bathroom (no tub). After s shower, the whole bathroom becomes very wet and messy.
