Close to local bus route which gave you easy access to all the sights and hikes in the area. 3 wonderful restaurants in walking distance. Situated in a lovely small village that gave you the full experience of been in an authentic working farm village.

The only downside to the apartment is that it can get a little noisy in the morning because the stairs are a little squeaky.

Janja is an exceptionally great host who gave us a lot of local recommendations and is just a very friendly and kind person overall, we therefore felt right at home. We were especially grateful we got an upgrade to stay in the apartment with a kitchen. The apartment is located in a very quaint little village which is way nicer than staying in Bohinj in my opinion. It is also located close to Mostnica gorge and only a short drive to Viševnik, so overall it’s a great place to base yourself if you want to go for a few hikes.

Janja is an exceptional hostess who truly cares about her guests. Loved all the information and suggestions she provided. She kindly offered me a nicer room than I had reserved, and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. I’m a light sleeper, but I slept like a baby there! Super convenient to Ribnice waterfalls, and there’s a bike/foot path to Stara Fuzina that continues to the lake, if you prefer not to have to drive/pay for parking in those areas. The only “problem” is that you’ll wish you could stay longer ;)

We loved the area, surrounded by mountains with a few options for lunch/dinner by foot. Hiking paths easily accessible. The host, Janja, was easy to reach and gave plenty of information on available public transport, festivities and hikes. Room was spacious and clean.

Indeed, the church bells are quite noisy but audible probably from every place in Srednja Vas;)

What makes this place exceptional is mainly Janja, the host, who is a lovely and caring person. She was always helpful, giving us tips and helping with some stuff. The rooms are simple but clean and cozy. We could also use the kitchen whenever we wandted. There’s enough place on the parking and bus stop nearby.

Room was super tidy with a nice little balcony. You're provided with basic appliances (kettle, some plates and cutlery, few mugs). There is a coffee and tea for you to prepare. Our room was in the second floor, stairs were quite steep and narrow, so keep that in mind if you have some moving restrictions. Location is great, you can go to Slap Ribnica directly, it's a one and a half hour walk. If you are up to a longer hike, go to Slap Mostnica. Anyway, if you want to swim, it's a longer walk or few minutes drive to Bohinj lake. Owner was extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. We had to go home unexpectedly a few days earlier and she didn't have any problems with us cancelling a reservation. We even got our money back. Definitely recommended.

Nothing to complain, really! Just be a little bit more careful if you stay in the room under the roof like us, I hit my head sometimes forgetting the reduced height!

Janja and her family were more than a great host to us. Amazing location with breathtaking views of the mountain. The owner of this property is such a beautiful person. She welcomed us with all her heart and made us comfortable immediately. She was kind enough to offer us an upgrade to our room and guided us with all the necessities around the area (sights to watch, supermarkets, etc) The room is well suited for a couple with a kitchen attached to it. The bathroom and toiletries provided were quite good and she ensured that towels are changed regularly.

It was a great stay. After a long journey, we were greeted by a well-equipped room in the middle of a quiet village - perfect! Janja's house was for us a great starting point for Lake Bohnij and trekking in the Triglav National Park. Janja is nice, energetic person, we got a lot of advice from her about going to the higher mountains (btw Janja - we managed to reach Triglav!) and other places worth seeing in Slovenia - unfortunately, there was not enough time for many of them, so we are pretty much sure that we will be happy to come back to Apartments and Rooms Hodnik Slavko.

It has everything you need for a stay, when you would like to spend time actively outside, having a nice place to sleep. For your own, you’ll have a room, bathroom and a place to prepare a meal (even a cooking one), everything clean and pleasant. You can find well prepared information and handouts regarding activities you can do, propositions of hiking routes, bus timetables etc. The host is very helpful.
