Nothing as such. Just that I wish I knew that the hotel has a buggy for carrying luggage. We didn’t know about it so had to drag the bags from drop off point till the hotel since it’s all a ‘No pedestrian’ zone but on check out, the staff helped us with the bags:)

It’s a beautiful small hotel located in the heart of the city. The staff is extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms are super clean. The soap and body lotion are simply amazing. We had the most wonderful breakfast served with so much love and warmth. We had a memorable stay there and We would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone :)

Faultless in all aspects, phenomenal attention to detail. The staff were absolutely wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the stunning balcony exploding with honeysuckle.

Everything. The thought that has gone into every detail really stands out. And the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was exceptional. Will be back. We have stayed at hotels throughout Europe and this is certainly near the top.

This hotel is absolutely outstanding. Aside from the great location, the immaculate, well appointed room and the fantastic breakfast. All of which would warrant 10/10 ratings.. what really makes this hotel special is the staff. I cannot emphasise enough how amazing these guys are. We would definitely book again based on this alone... they are a real credit to the hotel, and a shining example of proper service.

We can't think of a single thing.

The location was central to your beautiful city and it was wonderful to be immersed at a festive time of year (December). The decor was fresh and modern while referencing the buildings historical significance. The bed was divine and we have never slept better. World class service! And while every staff encounter was very professional and welcoming, a special shout out goes to Nate for his sense of humor and really making us feel at home. We might move in!

During summer we were already in Ljubljana and noticed the hotel which has great reviews, so we decided to celebrate my 50th birthday there. The reviews - even so they're great - don't do the hotel justice as it just exceeds expectations. The overall experience was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made our romantic stay a special experience. Every room has it's own story and is lovely designed. The breakfast matches the fantastic service. We also tried the tasting menu and the young chef is very talented and upcoming. It was delicious. Thanks again for an unforgettable weekend to Robert and the Team at Hotel Zlata Ladjica.

I came during a rainy and nasty day in November that did not promise anything. As soon as the door opened wide welcoming me in the rest of the world got shut. Hot tea with honey and lemon, no more worries about the wet luggage and soaked umbrellas. Buckwheat risotto with mushrooms? Oh, yes! Daniel, a young guy with perfect English took me to my room and gave an overview of the its history and inspiration. Ot only that! Just as if I was visiting a friend, he reviewed all the amenities. It took me a long time to realize that the room is actually not as large as it seems. The mirror installed by the door reflects it making it look like a double door. The television is a mirror as well, so not only it provides for visual expansion but also you never have a black huge spot in the middle of the room. Now let’s talk about cherishing historical value of the building. Exposed ceiling beams are in the focus pushing all the other elements to the background. White cabinets are sleek and neutral but their high vertical plane is pierced with horizontal natural wood shelves. The selection of materials for the shower stall is equally dramatic. Large “limestone slabs” are used instead of typical tiles. This way there are almost no grout lines. The effect is sleek, clean and confident. The hardware in the shower, the rain shower and the industrial feel of the vanity contribute to an overall sense of unpretentious aesthetics. And the drain is invisible with the correct pitch so that it works perfectly. Did I mention home made adorable cookies? So sweet! Bedding! OMG! You just sleep on a cloud! The duvet cover doesn’t move, and I am a restless sleeper! The quality of the sheets is such that you immediately go google trying to guess what in the world it can be. To top it all- breakfast that fuels you up with great natural food! What can i say? Impressed!!! Thank you!

A truly exceptional boutique hotel in the heart of Ljubljana. Stunning rooms, wonderfully attentive and helpful staff, perfect location and an all round 5* experience. Highly recommend for a weekend away destination for couples or groups looking for a top-end hotel and experience.

Can’t fault this property. The room was exceptional- very comfortable, fabulous view and balcony from the room I had. Staff extremely attentive but not intrusive - nothing is too much trouble. Location is excellent- in the heart of beautiful Ljubljana. Food amazing - leave lots of time for the included breakfast - it’s incredible.
