Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnfortunately while it's definitely great value for money due to the overall facilities, the bungalows themselves are extremely simple. Lots of bugs as there's small gaps between the bamboos that are making up the bungalow, which we didn't particularly mind. The net around the bed is great and effective in keeping mosquitos away but it also doesn't allow the air from the fan passing through making it super hot and difficult to sleep. It was also practically impossible to stay inside the bungalow during the day when the sun was up, as even with the fan on it was extremely hot and uncomfortable - so were forced to stay out all day until the sun went down. Lastly the roof is metallic and loose which meant extremely noisy at night when there was even the slightest breeze.
Lovely property overall, great location right on the beach. The staff make sure that the sunbeds (which are comfy) are kept for the guests only and it's amazing essentially having that part of the beach to ourselves. We spent the whole day at the beach and was lovely. The rest of the property is also really beautiful and kept very clean. Helpful staff. The bungalows were cleaned every day which was nice.

PortugalThe bungalows can get really hot and you need to be prepared for the sounds of nature that will most likely wake you up during the night. But this is all part of the experience, just make sure you have that in mind.
The location is very good, you are in front of a beautiful beach. The design of the bungalows is nice. The staff was very helpful.

FranceWhy is Walking Street so-called when you have to take your life into your hands to avoid all the motor scooters and motor carts? Be aware of party music boom boom boom until two o'clock in the morning. We thought this was supposed to be a Paradise Island, not a party Island
Fantastic place to stay chalet number one on the beach for my wife's 60th birthday fantastic.

Oh honestly this place was amazing! We wanted a proper hut on the beach experience and that is exactly what we got! Yes there’s no aircon but they do have a fan and it was actually ok!! The best hut for a proper hut experience in Thailand on the beach!

GermanyNothing.
Location is perfect, the Green View Beach Resort is located in the best part of Pattaya beach (Koh Lipe is a paradise on earth, literally). The owner is super nice and always ready to help and to provide advices on how to enjoy your stay not only in the village but in the whole island. The resort is peaceful and the bungalows are comfortable and well cleaned. If you consider the ratio between what you pay and what you get, it definitely goes above and beyond. Our bungalow was in the back of the garden and we hadn’t problems with the noise mentioned in the other reviews, however the owner provides earplugs for any kind of noise you could hear during the night. We really recommend this place for whose want to live a wild experience in a peaceful place. We definitely will be back!

BelgiumStaff not really friendly The green aspect is very nice BUT the sun heated water is not heat at all for the shower Very very noisy because of a high frequented path and a very big restaurant just next door (bamboo cottages are not sound-isolated)
Very nice « green » resort. Lovely bungalows very well located on pattaya beach (not to close from ferry’s disembarking area)

GreeceAs is explained there is no a/c so you have to realise that a fan might take some getting used to when it's hot. The beds weren't the most comfortable. Be prepared for loud bird songs in the mornings. Also no facilities at the accommodation for food, drinks or laundry but they are all in walking distance.
I really wanted the bamboo hut on the beach experience and although not on the beach exactly our hut could see the sea and within 2 minutes we were swimming!! Idyllic location. The simplicity of the hut is to be expected and it is more akin to glamping. With the windows open and fan on you can manage to get a cooler temperature to sleep plus the mosquito net and burning repellent provided are very necessary!! Perfect position for Walking street and food, drinks and entertainment are on your doorstep. The receptionist was helpful with local information, organising taxis and a snorkeling trip for us which was excellent! The only traditional bamboo hut accommodation I saw on Koh Lipe.

MalaysiaI got bitten by a giant red/brown centipede here while walking back to my room in the dark around 9pm. Tried to contact on the chat message here but no reply till next morning, as I had to get treated in ER Some word of caution or sensor light on and around the property for guests would be goo to avoid similar incidents again.
Quaint and quiet on a busy stretch of beach. Love the tall natural trees and simple huts with sun deck beach chairs and lounge reserved just for guests. Basic but complete. It gets a little hot in the room and on the bed as the mozzie net doesn’t quite allow the fan air to pass through. Talay the caretaker was the most thoughtful and kind, she offered to help me with a personal dive booking though it was not under her and she didn’t have to. She really stood up for her guests. I recommend to book island tour activities with Talay because she will make sure you have a good and fair time
