Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandOur bathroom was very basic with a weak shower that didn’t drain well. The room lighting was very harsh with no bedside lamp. There were no hand towels. Breakfast was a bit limited especially for us vegetarians.
The location is stunning, right on the beach. The beds were very comfortable. The bar did a very good happy hour with cocktails.

PortugalBreakfast is poor, with little variety. The bread, fruit and the few pancakes would disappear quickly, taking a long time (and some requests)to be replaced. The staff, although very kind and helpful struggled to speak in any language but thai, which led to many misunderstandings, especially with orders at the restaurant.
The resort is perfectly located in a beautiful beach. The bungallows are spacious, comfortable, the air conditioning works well and the shower is good. Everything was clean.

Canada-sink clogged and was never fixed -room smelt like sewage when we arrived but smell cleared up within half hour -not the best swimming beach because there is so much choral (tons of venomous sea urchins so be careful - no warnings anywhere about them) -beds are very firm, but this seems to be the case everywhere we stayed -Sand fleas so make sure to bring coconut oil or bug spray (not property’s fault though) -pool was terrible (green), and should not be listed as something they offer because it is NOT usable
-right on the beach -ferry arrives right at the resort -provide beach chairs for beach and seating area on little porch -big beautiful windows provide beautiful view of beach -tasty breakfast with delish coffees -chill atmosphere -great spot to snorkel (but see message below about sea urchins) -so cool to be able to rent kayaks and paddle over to Koh Kham (200 Thai Baht once you get to the island) -pineapple dessert cafe on property had amazing treats and coffee -staff at bar and cafes were so kind and helpful -yoga is offered (300 Baht) at the resort that’s a 3 minute walk away

United KingdomThe shower pressure was poor. No bedside table even though there was space for one. No soap provided (although other toiletries). Safe not the easiest to use. Breakfast was OK but not great. Very much about the fruit which I didn't want. Staff seemed very confused about the coffee and called everything a cappuccino. Would have been better if jugs of hot milk and coffee provided so we could do our own. (as at Klong Prao Resort). Pool looked awful so we didn't use it but sea was lovely so no great loss. Dining space was nothing special.
Fab location right by the pier. Very peaceful. Lovely to be able to walk to the sea in a few steps. Nice to find 4 bottles of water in the fridge on arrival. We loved the Pineapple Dessert Bar. Great to have kayaks to rent. We paddled across to Ko Kham rather than pay 350 for the boat trip. Stunning birdwing butterflies on the flowers outside our bungalow.

FranceThere is one thing I wish they had told me as I checked in though: that there were sand flies on the beach. I would have been more careful. So come prepared with some repellent spray. But apart from that, it is the perfect place to relax. I'll come back, I will for sure
The view is even better than on the picture and the rooms are just enough for what you need as you won't spend so much time in your room anyway. The staff is awesome, very helpful and caring. The breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am with American and Thai styles. The menu is very large too if you don't feel like hanging out. They serve cocktails on the beach and the music Playlist is quite nice too.

NorwayA calm resort with bungalows close to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean on the beach and the area around. From our bungalow we had about 20 metres to the beach where it was nearly no others. About 5 min with motorbikes to south side of the island if you want some more activity and restaurants.

Switzerlandmany things we arrive in September witch is low season ,rainy season it rains a lot so the rooms we re quite humids from the lack of isolation… we arrived and they’ve organised a pick up from the pier to the resort , it was raining and the plastic windows had holes so we got wet from the beginning …pick up the key the lady at the reception wasn’t especially friendly …. she said the restaurant is open till 8pm every evening … we went the next day at 715 pm : close !!!! so we couldn’t eat in the evening … we had to wait till the next day cause no other options around the hotel due to low season everything was closed . we had the breakfast included but every morning the hour was changing one day from 0700-1000 next day they opened at 0800-1000 the third day they didn’t wake up untill 0900 , on top of this the choice fro the breakfast and the restaurant is really poor …. the staff are not professional …. we had to wait and bed for most of the things …. was a very bad experience in all…. yesterday night we didn’t have water to shower for 4 hours ….when I ve report this at the reception at the check out she only said to me that is because of low season ….. what a poor excuse …. they should not open in low season cause they can’t offer e decent service …. we were very happy to leave after 3 days …. in all our worst experience in Thailand so far …. so no I wouldn’t recommend this resort …. in low or high season ….
the resort is ok for 3 star hotel

SwitzerlandStaff should explicitly mention the sandflies on the unmaintained parts of the beach on check in. We were suffering big time for 5 days. Hotel failed to mention the limited boat capacity, or advise us to book boat in advance. Could not leave the island when we had to. Hotel offered a room 3 times the price we paid before. Absolute no-Go. Staff clearly needs training.
