Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaCost of food and drinks. It breaks my heart to bring what would be a 10/10 stay down to an 8, but the cost of drinks at any of the bars was extortionate. It wasn't just expensive for Bangkok, it would be expensive in London or Stockholm. Almost £10 for a small beer at the bar near the pool. Not 10 baht, £10. We barely made use of the pool as a result of this. Instead, we went down to the river to find a place where the drinks were bigger, better, and cheaper (£1-£3). If you want to drink at the skybar in the tower, you will need to double that price. We wanted to check it out, so we got mocktails, which still cost 900baht/drink, £20 for a mocktail. It's insanity. The hotel is beautiful. The staff were lovely. The room was gorgeous. Yet the absolutely extortionate drink and food prices really put such a dampener on the stay.
The building is incredibly impressive right on the river. We got an incredible deal on the room (almost 70% off) and it was a huge, comfortable room with lots of drinking water provided. Bathroom was stunning with a great shower and a seperate bath big enough for one person. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was included with our room and was a real highlight. It had such a huge variety of foods avaliable, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, French, and English. The fruits were incredibly fresh and delicious.

United KingdomFor a 5* hotel, the TV was tiny, I couldn't see the text with my glasses on 😅 Sauna and steam room was closed for renovation. Breakfast was 4*. Overpriced bars - £70 for two of the cheapest cocktails.
Spacious suite, incredible views, clean and comfortable. Room cleaners were excellent. Lovely big bathroom and huge comfy bed.

United StatesOnly negative for me is the price of cocktails at any of the bars.
Room 2419. Nice views to the west. It was the lowest room I have ever stayed in so you cannot compare it to rooms at the 40 and 50 levels. Certainly easier to get to. As always, your breakfasts are outstanding. The laundry service is amazing. I love how my shirst came back and everything was ironed.

Thailand1. All bars closed at midnight. At 11.20h p.m. we couldn't order any more drink because the staff already started to "clean everything". That's crazy for a first class hotel in such an importent city. 2. We where not accompied by the staff to our room. Nobody explained anything. We had to wait for unlocking the balcony for about 40 minutes. 3. They have a parking service for your car, which is good. But we didn't know this. So we drove into the garage by ourseves. The garage is a dark, ugly, dirty place. Driving up the ramp is like driving two centuries back in time. It is a place where you dfinitively don't want to be. For us, this was our very first impression when we arrived. And that was surely not fortunate for our first contacts with the staff and their "procedures" (e.g. balcony locked).
Nice room, nice view from the balcony, excellent breakfirst, friendly staff if you follow their procedures

PolandThe hotel gained fame thanks to The Hangover in Bangkok, but at this price you can definitely have something more exclusive. A nice experience, a large selection of food for breakfast and a great welcome - it was my wife's birthday and the staff prepared a cake and balloons for her. 🫶 Very beautiful view from the balcony, but the room was a bit outdated and unfortunately we had a cockroach :( Overall, our stay was good, but we won't come back.

AustraliaThe speed and busyness of the lifts heading to level 58 was a little slow and often overcrowded. Also the smell in the public lobby (not the main hotel lobby) was at times putrid.
Amazing view, generous facilities and friendly staff. It was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was extensive and the gym facilities worked well. Certainly would return here.

NetherlandsHotel rooms are a little bit outdated. Also the walls between the rooms are quite thin it seems. Our neighbours arrived at 2 AM our last night and woke us up. Unfortunately this was not just for a short period, cause they seemed to have never met a light switch before (which we heard being turned off and on again and again). They kept me awake for over an hour…
Good location close to the ferry, large rooms. Reasonable price with good breakfast.

AustraliaI absolutely hated the way the staff judge your appearance for entry to level 52 and 68 (bar and tower area) I understand there's a dress code and an image to uphold but the approach could be more gentle. Also warning that if you want to visit the tower/top floor the drinks are suoer overpriced, even a mocktail. You're pressured to purchase a drink (starting price approx $50+ AUD) and if you change your mind and want to drink elsewhere you get ushered and escorted out swiftly and firmly like you did something wrong. On level 52 (No° 3 bar) i said i wanted to check the view first prior to looking at the drinks menu. She told me I had to buy a drink first before the photo, otherwise I will have to pay them for the privilege for 1 photo of the view or to even take a step towards the entrance of the bar outdoors (absolutely ridiculous!) I was so turned off I didn't stay for drinks or view. To be honest, apart from the bar areas, the rest of the staff and stay was lovely.
Gorgeous views, exceptionally clean and good location Lobby area was beautifully presented and welcoming. The housekeeping was exceptional and very thorough. I walked in the room mid-clean and saw the care and detail that went into cleanliness (impressive) The male staff were all helpful and lovely. The women I felt were a bit less friendly and judgemental (applicable to bar areas only)

SwitzerlandDidn't really like the fact that you couldn't check out the rooftop bars eventhough you were staying at the hotel. You had to consum a drink per person. also understand that there is a dresscode but didn't like the judgy looks you got if you were dressed business casual..
