We only stayed here for one night after flying for 24 hours. The rooftop bar and restaurant in the hotel overlooking the river was exactly what we needed and wanted :)

For the cost, the quality was far below expectations.The lampshade was cracking and falling apart, the grout on the floor of the washroom was chalky from regrouting. There was a bit of noise as well, from customers of the rooftop bar. The breakfast was almost continental and minimal. Out of the 4 days, I only ate breakfast once, and it was disappointing. The pancakes were undercooked and raw. The rest of breakfast was limited: boiled rice, fried rice, American breakfast, or pancakes. While the staff were very helpful, they are not available in the evening. There is no pharmacy nearby.

The views of the river, Wat Pho and Wat Arun were nice. Eagle Nezt, their rooftop bar, is also nice. Close to Sanam Chai MRT station.

Small boutique hotel located up a very quiet street. Looks pretty dull from outside but inside is actually very nice and quaint. It has 5 floors up a narrow staircase and no lift, so no use for people with certain disabilities. It also has a roof bar with spectacular views of Wat Arun and this is its main feature. The bar is always very busy but the bar toilets are located beside the bedrooms on the top floor, so it's very noisy in the evenings until about midnight. Bar prices are high but worth the view, hence there is a lot of traffic up and down the stairs as people come for the view have a drink and then leave again.

Breakfast was OK but restricted selection of either Asian or American Breakfast and a reasonable selection of juices, breads, coffee etc. The restaurant is very popular during the day end evening and the food is very good. Staff were very nice and helpful. Ideal location for Grand Palace and Wat Pho etc.

The view of this accommodation is exactly how it is made out in the pictures. It's a beautiful and unique experience. The accommodation itself is exactly as made out in the pictures. Very spacious rooms. Clean and tidy. Very cool and comfortable.

This hotel does NOT have an elevator - hauling luggage up and down the stairs is difficult. We were there during the hottest time of year so the stairs climbing was not fun. Also, being on the riverfront sounds romantic, but it is very polluted and garbage floating around. This is not the hotel's fault but one should be aware that the river is far from pristine.

The view is breathtaking! Also, the location is within walking distance (10 min or less) from several temples and other sights.

The staff were efficient but we felt they paid more attention to the diners coming to the restaurant than the people actually staying at the hotel.

Breakfast was good with a good choice of foods, the location by the river was superb with a fantastic view of the Wat on the opposite bank. Easy to get to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho and a good choice of cafes and restaurants nearby.

The mattress was very very firm. No give at all really, my back hurt every morning. Also, the staff and booking.com did not inform us that we had a free breakfast, so we missed out on that.

The views were spectacular and the pillows were soft and comfortable.

Hot water in wash basins. Didn’t even fake it by being able to turn it on. Better mattress—hard foam on hard surface doesn’t cut it. Like the room size and place to use the computer but WiFi was unreliable.

The room door lock is a bit loose and the wall is very thin - you basically can here everyone walking upstair to the hotel bar till 11 pm and those who are in the restaurant next door since they share the same wall.

The view - it is what was promised - a very good view of Wat Arun from your room balcony. The facility and location is also superb, very convenient to travel.

Incredible location - just a few steps away from the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, with an absolute view of Wat Arun. You could just spend the all evening in your own room looking out the window. Easy walk to pier for ferries, flower district and MRT line. Since there is a rooftop bar and so close to everything, those sensitive to noise at night might need a quieter place, but the soundproofing is not too bad. no lift. if it’s your first time in Bangkok this is the ideal spot to get a taste of everything

noise was a bit issue. Our room was on 4th floor and just below of the roof top bar. we heard the stomping, music, and voices all night long. it was pretty uncomfortable and hard sleep before the midnight.

The view from both the hotel bar and our bedroom was as pictured - a fabulous view of Wat Arun across the river, while the hotel was a 5 min stroll from the temples of Wat Pho and a 15 min walk to the Palace entrance at Wiman Thewet gate. I recommend Sala Arun as a location

Nothing really, my kind of little Hotel

Central located to Temples, markets, & night life. The restaurant on the river was cute and yummy food, with great sites while you dine. Upstairs roof bar had really good atmosphere too!
