How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room a little tired. No running water for extended periods on two days (tap, shower, toilet). Loud if at front of the building.
Great for the price. Central. Friendly staff. Bed comfy. Clean.

Phenomenal location right in the heart of it all, bars restaurants, massage parlours, minutes walk to the beach. Hotel is nice, rooms are huge and comfortable, shower is pretty good as well, really not what you expect on an island as small as Tao. Breakfast was included and was decent as well. Heads up the TV has no channels but you can log in to your net flix on it, it's a pretty big TV too tbh. Had a couple of issues with my room on arrival but staff were fast to fix.

3% charges on card, they don’t accept payments via booking.com; rooms smelled so bad after closing the rooms for a while.

Shower is a little bit old with weak water stream. The view from the room is another wall or a door and not something to look for.
The facilities are good nice small hotel with most of what you need. very good complementry coffee in the room. Amazing location with 2 min walk to the beach and very close to a nice cafe , 7/11 and a yoga gym. The lobby worker named Aka helped us alot and gave us everything we needed with a smile. We even got a free ride back to the pier.

The stairs are really steep, so be careful with big luggage. You are right at the strip. If you want to go to bed early, you have lovely music to accompany you all night.
Friendly staff, late check-in possible (we had to change rooms from other hotel) the breakfast, is just really nice. And the location is right at the strip.

It was all ok
Friendly staff and really comfortable bed.We stayed 1 night and it was in a good location for the town and not far from the beach but it is just a hotel room with 4 walls and a window not really anywhere nice to sit or outdoor areas, would be ok in a city and it will suit some people but it wasnt for us to get the island feel.

Staff didn’t clean the bed sheets which became unpleasant and the daily cleaning could have been better.
Amazing location, friendly staff and good breakfast. Even gave us snorkels which saved us allot of money. Just a bit expensive for what you get as no pool it’s just a room.

Rumours from the water pump came in through the ventilator tube in the bathroom (room 202). Not nice but with all doors closed it had the same volume as the a/c, so no problem.
Friendly staff, breakfast very good in cafe nearby. Spacious room and bathroom. Bed very big and comfortable.

good location in a lively street. Our room was away from the street so very quiet. Breakfast is at a small cafe just next door. Clean room and friendly service. Overall very happy with it. I was with my two kids.

Most of the time there was no one at reception and the hotel restaurant seemed to be closed at the moment. The bathroom had a drainage smell occasionally but wasn’t terrible. Hotel didn’t have any facilities but not far to walk to find entertainment.
Right in the main part of Sairee beach, just a few mins walk to bars and restaurants. The beds were really comfy and TV had Netflix.

The breakfast was fantastic! Location was also very good, super close by to the beach, bars and restaurants but you couldn’t hear the noise from the rooms. Free transfer from pier on arrival and cheap price for the return one through the hotel
